About me

My name is Teshia, I am a DONA certified birth doula, PAIL advocate, Childhood educator, and nanny. As a faith-based doula, my approach to birth work is rooted in compassion, faith, and the belief that every birth is scared and should be a precious experience. I am an advocate of bringing faith, natural and traditional birth methods to mothers from the high risks population to black minorities. I am walking in my purpose to support and hold space for all mothers (inclusively) during pregnancy, birth, postpartum phase, and beyond. It is in my purpose to walk alongside my clients offering not only physical and emotional support, and resources, but also spiritual comfort with a sense of peace. I am experienced in hospital, home, and cesarean births. We will cover the "stages of labor," build the ideal birth plan, and encourage informed consent in any decision-making moment. I love creating the environment that would set the tone for any occasion, whether it be breastfeeding, relaxation, bonding time, or self-care spaces. I look forward to supporting you and your family😇

Having Auntie Tedie involved in both of my births was one of the best decisions I made. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to her clients. I’m forever grateful for her presence during such pivotal moments in my life. For my first birth, she helped me stay grounded and focused throughout a long labor, offering comfort measures like massage, breathing guidance, and emotional encouragement, however, I decided on a cesarean birth. She worked seamlessly with the medical team, creating a peaceful and empowering environment. My second birth was quite different—faster and more intense—and Auntie Tedie adapted effortlessly. She anticipated my needs, helped with positioning, and was instrumental in helping me feel safe and in control throughout the process. Highly recommend.
