I can't recommend Aneke highly enough. Having her by my side was one of the best decisions I made for my birth experience. During labor, she continuously helped position and reposition my body using different techniques to encourage my baby to rotate into a better position and descend. When contractions became most intense, she provided counter-pressure and massage that brought tremendous relief. During the pushing stage, she suggested different pushing positions based on my progress and used warm compresses to help protect my perineum. Her expertise, calm guidance, and constant support played a huge role in helping me achieve a vaginal birth. Most importantly, Aneke is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Every time we encountered a challenge during labor or breastfeeding, she always had thoughtful and effective solutions. She never stopped encouraging me, helping me overcome difficult moments, and giving me both the courage to get through childbirth and the confidence to continue my breastfeeding journey.

Aneke is an incredibly skilled and compassionate doula with over two decades of experience. She brings a calm, grounding presence to every interaction and has a deep understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of birth. Her intuition, empathy, and ability to adapt with grace make her truly stand out. She communicates clearly and supports everyone involved with warmth and care. Any family would be lucky to have her by their side during such an important time. Can’t recommend her enough.

I was glad to have Aneke as my birth doula, and I truly cannot imagine going through that experience without her. From the very beginning, Aneke brought a calm and reassuring presence. She is incredibly experienced, and her knowledge and support helped me feel confident and prepared throughout my labor. During labor, Aneke was a steady, grounding force. She was patient, kind, and always attuned to what I needed, even before I could say it out loud. She guided me through each stage of the birthing process with gentle encouragement and wisdom. Her support extended beyond emotional reassurance—her hands-on care, especially her massages during contractions, brought real physical relief and comfort when I needed it most. Having Aneke by my side made a huge difference in how I experienced birth. She advocated for me when I needed it, supported my choices, and created a safe, empowering environment. I’m so grateful to have had her as part of my birth team, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any expecting parent looking for an experienced and compassionate doula.

Frequently asked questions

How does birth start, when to call my doula, when do we go to the hospital

I am excited to be the one you share your wishes/uncertainties with and trust to call at any time. Birth can start with some cramping or with rupture of membranes, meaning the amniotic water leaks or gushes out. In those moments you can call me, I can come to your home to evaluate the situation and decide together what would be the next step. The most important in this time is that you feel safe, your baby's and your wellbeing. Labor starts at any time, and I am available 24/7 to you.
