Anna Forsberg is a Postpartum Doula living and working in San Diego. Her life's passion is to usher postpartum families through the threshold of postpartum finding joy and healing along the way. I offer non-judgmental and whole-hearted support in preparation for and throughout the immediate postpartum period. It is my honor to hold families and their babies amongst the leaky, messy, beautiful threshold of postpartum life and find the available joy along the way.

What to expect

Postpartum Planning & Education: You have spent months, maybe years, preparing for the arrival of your baby(ies), now let's plan what to do next. We will create a plan uniquely catered to your family's needs so that you feel supported and confident. In-Person Support: Support for parents, siblings, and infants. Meal prep and light housework. Encouragement of healing practices & most importantly, ensures protected sleep. Our base packages include: prenatal planning, discounted belly binding, herbal support and 1 entire year virtual support! Already postpartum? We have packages prepared for you too! Belly Binding: Binding the womb space after birth is an ancestral tradition packed with healing potential. Womb massage is also offered if desired. Womb massage can enhance healing and the re-alignment of internal organs, fascia and ligaments. After binding, clients say they feel held, safe, secure, & more like themselves. Only daytime care is provided at this time.

Do you have a background check?

Yes, I am Trustline Certified and can provide an ID number upon request.

Do you offer birth services?

While I am not a birth doula, I love to support my clients prenatally with education on how to prepare for postpartum recovery, infant care, mental health strategies and more. I do not provide birth doula services, nor provide childbirth education courses.

What does a postpartum shift look like?

1 hour before shift: Check in to see if you need anything from the store on my way over Beginning of shift: I will always wash my hands and do a family check-in to see where everyone is at. Offer immediate support, such as offering to hold the baby so the parent can have a bathroom break or making a warm meal, changing the laundry or stepping in to support an older sibling. Mission: Next we talk about what needs to be accomplished during the shift. This could be any of the following: breastfeeding support, laundry, light housework, meal prep, infant care, processing birth story, supporting siblings, or even talking the dog on a walk. Wrap up: I always aim to leave your space a bit tidier and calmer than when I arrived, hopefully with your water bottle filled up, your questions answered and your next meal planned out.
