Two days after I gave birth I was up making myself breakfast, getting my oldest off to school, and driving myself and new baby to his first pediatric appointment. I felt alone and isolated. Many days I would just cry from being overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the birth of my son did not go as planned for many reasons: my doula could not attend my birth, I preeclampsia complications, and my son was in a breech position.
