I am a DONA Certified Birth doula serving in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. Ive been doing birth work since 2017, starting with my time in The Gambia, West Africa working with the local midwives. Within my practice, I hope to give compassionate care to every birthing person.

My journey began in 2014, after watching the documentary, The Business of Being Born. I was shocked at how medical and sterile birth had become and how unfairly some pregnant people are treated. From there, I spent the next three years devouring anything and everything related to birth. I attended my first birth as a doula (unknowingly) in 2017 when my goddaughter was born, and I fell in love with doula work. I married my husband in late 2017, and in early 2019 I found out I was pregnant with my first child. My pregnancy was one of the most enjoyable times of my life. I gave birth vaginally in a hospital transfer from Atlanta Birth Center, to Atlanta Medical Center in November 2019. I have my birth team to thank for solidifying my passion for other people to have the experience I was blessed with. ​I believe information is our greatest tool. I will provide you with evidence-based information from a holistic standpoint. Outside of being a doula, I love to travel. I enjoy visiting new and familiar places with my family. I love cooking, reading, and listening to crime podcasts. I never turn down a taco or a glass of champagne.

I have over 20 years of public health experience working at the private, state and federal level. The importance of public health and living a healthy lifestyle has been my life since I was a young girl! My mother set the stage early in life by encouraging an overall holistic approach. I witnessed my first birth at the age of nine and that exposure opened a world of possibilities. I have always had an interest in maternal and child health and a passion to support women during one of the most important seasons of life, the sacred transition into motherhood. After having children of my own, I answered the call to follow my dream and become a doula. My goal is to educate and provide resources for healthy food and lifestyle choices that can lead to a better quality of life for those in the family and future years. I received a B.S. degree in health promotion and disease prevention from the University of Southern California, and a M.P.H. in health policy and management from Emory University.
