As a full-spectrum doula, my role is not to take over but to stand alongside families with steady guidance, evidence-based education, and a calming presence. My goal is to weave together my experience as a mother, still mama, Colorado native, and wellness professional to give back to my community, ensuring no family walks alone through these sacred and transformative moments.

Congratulations! My name is Alyssa. I've been a doula since 2013. I became a doula shortly after the birth of my first born when I experienced a tremendous lack of support. I felt alone and isolated and overwhelmed with the contradicting information online. After connecting with other moms within the community, I learned that I wasn't an outlier and this experience was far too common. I studied with Penny Lyon and Ann Pollack in 2013 and became certified with DONA shortly after. Later in 2013, I began working at a local birth center as a midwife assistant to further my medical training. It reaffirmed that I was meant to be a doula serving families within my community. As a certified yoga instructor since 2006, I started integrating Prenatal yoga and doula work. It truly felt like the most comprehensive way to support families by bringing them affective and age old tools to cope with labor pains. Since 2013, I've proudly served over 1000 families. I'm the co-founder of In Joy Birth, a doula training company/agency located in Orlando, Florida. In 2023, I moved my family to the greater Denver area to be close to the mountains where I am currently serving families. I'm passionate about continuing education and am currently working on finishing my Pediatric Sleep Consulting certification. I'm also BLS/CPR certified, and Carrot approved. I work with only one family at a time so that I can provide individualized care to each one of my families.

My name is Emily Harrison. I am a certified Ayurvedic Doctor and Ayurvedic Postpartum Nutrition & Support Doula, certified through Ayurved Sadhana, approved by the Colorado Department of Education, and recognized by the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. I am also a certified Birth Doula through Birth Arts International, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, and Postpartum Ceremony Facilitator. I am passionate about helping individuals achieve optimal health, so that they can feel at home in their body. Āyurveda believes the pregnancy journey has the potential to create a strong and healthy foundation for a baby’s entire life. This “Science of Life” provides specific guidelines for preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum; and emphasizes the importance of balanced parent(s) throughout all phases of the experience. I support families during the preconception stage by applying Āyurvedic principles that help parents-to-be prepare their bodies, minds, and hearts to increase their fertility potential. I provide Āyurvedic diet, herb, and lifestyle recommendations to help create a comfortable pregnancy; and care for families during the postpartum stage with nourishing food, herbs, and bodywork to facilitates healing after birth by keeping the mother's recovery and wellbeing top priority. I also offer Placenta Encapsulation and honoring, as well as Postpartum Ceremonies to celebrate the completion of sacred pregnancy and postpartum chapters. Lindsay Scott, Certified Doula Lindsay is a Colorado native and lives in Aurora with her husband and three children. Lindsay has always been interested in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. After she had her children, she realized there is a definite need for Doula support, knowledge and advocacy, so she changed her career path and trained to become a certified Doula and now attends and supports births. Lindsay also works with a local non-profit organization offering on-call Doula support to a local hospital where she attends and supports one to two births per month. Helping birthing people is truly her passion and love. Continuing education is very important to Lindsay. She is constantly learning new techniques so she can best serve and support her clients. Beside being knowledgeable in pregnancy, birth and postpartum, Lindsay can also assist with cloth diapering, wash routines and other zero waste options for babies. Lindsay is always available to answer any questions. Family is very important to Lindsay, so when she is not attending births, she is spending time with her children and husband. Some of her other hobbies include camping, hiking, running and cooking.

The love of a mother as she uses her strength, the love of a partner in support of labor; and love of God for us as we travel through the whole process.
