I am looking to have a home birth, but this would be my first one and I have a history of high blood pressure, so we may need to at least discuss the possibility of a hospital birth. My budget is around $6,000. I like to spend most of my labor in my bathtub. For this birth I want to have a midwife with me to coach me through to the end of labor so I do not have to leave the comfort of my own home. I want to delay cutting the umbilical cord as well.

I would like a calm birth with minimal people in the room, preferably just my husband and the midwife . I am debating between a water birth or a non water birth. Preferred certification is either a certified midwife or a certified professional midwife, having experience with many different types of birth and scenarios.
