Hi, we’re Jonathan and Brenda Endelman. We’re expecting our first baby, due February 12, 2027, and live in Baltimore. We plan to give birth at Sinai Hospital. We’re looking for a birth doula to support Brenda throughout labor and delivery, with Jonathan as her primary birth partner. We’re also interested in prenatal preparation and postpartum support. We want to prepare thoroughly while remaining flexible about how the birth unfolds, with a safe, healthy delivery and informed decision-making as our priorities. We’d appreciate support with comfort measures, positioning, breathing, relaxation, and navigating the stages of labor. Jonathan would also like guidance on being an active, hands-on support person. We’re interested in postpartum guidance with the transition home, newborn care, and breastfeeding/feeding support if within the doula’s scope. Insurance: CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield — CareFirst BlueChoice Open Access. CareFirst has confirmed that doula services are a covered benefit. We’re therefore looking for a certified doula who accepts and can bill CareFirst, with the goal of having the service covered with little or no out-of-pocket cost. Provider preferences: We’re looking for someone experienced, dependable, calm, communicative, and comfortable supporting a hospital birth at Sinai. Mental stability, before labor, assistance, and post delivery assistance

Second baby, Definitely was a surprise because I suffer from endometriosis really bad. This is my first time looking into the service ! I plan to birth at mercy medical center downtown Baltimore. I’m definitely open to learning more about everything & what else u offer!

(UMMS) Estimated budget: My budget will depend on what services are covered by my insurance, if anything. I am looking for postpartum support options that fit within my available coverage or payment options. Describe your birth plan: I am still developing my full birth plan, but my main preferences are: * I would like to avoid giving birth flat on my back and would prefer alternative laboring positions when medically appropriate. * I would like my doula and delivery nurse to be my primary support people in the delivery room. * I would like delayed cord clamping. * I would like immediate skin-to-skin contact with my baby after birth. * I would prefer no bath for my baby immediately after delivery and would like to wait until I am ready. * I would like medical interventions delayed unless they are medically necessary. I would like procedures explained to me and want to provide consent before interventions whenever possible. Requirements for the provider (certification, years of experience, second language): I am looking for someone experienced in postpartum support and newborn care, especially overnight newborn care. Certification as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, or similar training is preferred. I value someone patient, compassionate, respectful of my parenting choices, and knowledgeable about newborn needs. A second language is not required. Details about care recipients (age, special needs, feeding, etc.): I am expecting my first baby. My care recipient will be my newborn baby. I will need support learning my baby’s routines, feeding, soothing, diapering, and newborn care. I would appreciate someone who can support me as I recover and adjust to motherhood. Additional duties (sleep training, cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.): My main need is postpartum recovery support, especially nighttime care so I can get adequate rest after birth. I am looking for assistance with: * Overnight newborn care * Feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, and/or bottle feeding support if needed) * Diaper changes and soothing * Helping establish healthy newborn routines (not formal sleep training right away) * Light household cleaning as needed * Cooking or meal preparation * Light laundry assistance My goal is to have compassionate support during the transition into motherhood while allowing me time to heal, rest, bond with my baby, and gain confidence caring for my newborn.

Hospital birth $500-$1000 Vaginal birth (Vbac) at hospital

Looking for a faith-based doula for L&D and postpartum breastfeeding support. My last experience was without one and I feel having an experienced advocate in the room will be helpful. I want someone to help me feel supported and help me voice my preferences / needs during. Having a vaginal birth with minimal intervention is important to me. I’d love to birth at home but husband prefers we do hospital so we’ll be doing York wellspan hospital. Budget is ~$1500, and birth plan is as above, and limiting iv fluids, limiting induction interventions and avoiding C-section when able, and birthing in positions other than on back and legs up.
