Neha Chinchanikar

Hi there! I am Neha, a birth and postpartum doula based in Sammamish, WA. My path to becoming a doula was shaped by my own births and medical experiences at Northwest Hospital, Swedish Issaquah, and Virginia Mason. I know the power of a doula because I lived it twice, whose presence completely transformed my experience. She was the anchor that kept me grounded, providing the safety I needed to trust my body. I know that even the most empowered birth can be followed by a challenging recovery. My own postpartum transitions were marked by the reality of Postpartum Anxiety (PPA), a difficult breastfeeding journey, and a 5 finger diastasis recti that required patience and dedicated healing. These challenges were humbling, but they were also my greatest teachers. My Commitment to You: Full-Circle Care: Dedicated support throughout your pregnancy, labor and postpartum check-ins as you settle into your new life at home. Cultural Heart: A deep respect for your family's traditions and a commitment to honoring them from pregnancy through postpartum. Advocate and Empower: Empower you with resources and advocate for your choices in the birthing room.

Neha was a great birth doula. I wouldn't have been able to labor at home without her. She used many methods to help me cope with my pain. She was there from when I just had some cramps. When I texted her my symptoms, she quickly arrived at our home, helped time the contractions, poured ice over my body to distract me from the pain, used essential oils, and help me use the TENS machine. She helped my partner support me by suggesting position changes, feeding, and watering me. She gave me a list of aftercare items that have been very important for my recovery. All I desired for my birth was a quick labor and vaginal delivery, and Neha was essential in making that possible. I am very thankful to her, I wish everyone had someone like Neha to support them during their births.

Rafaela Rosa

15 years of experience

I am Rafaela, a Certified Postpartum Doula through NAPS and a graduate of DONA International–approved Postpartum Doula training. I am also a Birth Doula trained through the Becoming a Birth Doula program with Carrie Kenner and a Newborn Care Provider. I am based in Kirkland, Washington, and provide compassionate, respectful, and hands-on support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, helping parents feel confident and supported during one of the most meaningful transitions in their lives. I hold a Technical Degree in Nursing from Brazil, earned in 2010, with more than 2,090 hours of combined theoretical and clinical training. While this is not a U.S. nursing license, it provides a strong clinical foundation for the care and support I offer families. Throughout my professional career, I have gained extensive experience in maternal and newborn care, including supporting pregnant women, newborns, premature infants, and babies requiring specialized care. I bring seven years of hands-on experience working in a maternity hospital in Brazil, where I supported mothers during labor and provided direct care for newborns, including premature infants and babies in the NICU. This experience has given me extensive knowledge in supporting families with newborns who require specialized care. I offer both daytime and overnight support for newborns, premature infants, and their families during the postpartum period. My services include evidence-based newborn care, emotional support for parents, infant feeding guidance, healthy sleep foundations, and practical assistance to help families feel confident and well supported as they adjust to life with a new baby. Families often describe me as reliable, calm, and attentive. I strive to create a warm, organized, and judgment-free environment where families feel supported and confident in their routines while following current American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for safe sleep and newborn care. I am fully vaccinated, have excellent references, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. More recently, Rafaela reached out to let us know she became a doula and asked if we would feel ok sharing our experience. I didn’t even think twice. About five years ago when our son was born, we went through a really hard time as a family. My wife had postpartum depression and I was honestly very scared I wouldn’t be able to handle everything on my own. About a week after the baby was born, we realized we needed help, and that’s when we met Rafaela. At that time, she was already helping families with newborn care because of her nursing background, so she had a lot of experience even before becoming a doula. She helped us during the day and also overnight, and gave support to my wife during a very sensitive time. What really stands out is how genuine she is. She cared for our baby with so much love and patience, you could really feel it. Because of my wife’s situation, we used formula, and Rafaela helped us with that with no judgment, just support. She really became part of our family. She was there through everything, even came to our son’s first birthday. Even now, we still keep in touch and always recommend her to friends and families in our Bellevue community. We are very thankful for everything she did for us.

A dedicated, capable, and broadly skilled Full Spectrum Doula. My skillset has flourished in the years I’ve spent in professional birth and postpartum care. Having supported over 300 families through pregnancy, labor and birth, and even hundreds more in postpartum, as well as a foundation of 20+ years of NCS experience, I am a seasoned Doula based here in metro Seattle / Tacoma. My competencies are built on the foundation of full-spectrum experience of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I walk hand in hand with families through first, second, and third births as well as the many in-between variations of the experience of growing family. It is important to me to practice with a calm and clear mind, helping to build your confidence and awareness early on, helping you assert your autonomy confidently to be in charge of your experience. At the heart of my work as your doula are the values of trust, honesty, reliability and non-judgmental support. There is no one right way to become a family. My role is to help you feel sure of what is right for you.

Nori was the whole reason my birth experience went as smoothly as it did. Not only did she prepare me and my husband for what would likely occur, but she prepped us beforehand with research behind the decisions that are made during these moments. This was so unbelievably smart and helpful to discuss beforehand, so we didn’t have to make any hard decisions during labor. Nori also provided such a comfort, not only physically, but emotionally and mentally. She helped my husband learn ways to help me manage labor pains, paid attention to what sort of environment I preferred, and even took photos of us with our newborn. I can’t imagine not choosing Nori!

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

Débora is incredibly kind, patient, and nurturing, and she was truly wonderful with my newborn. From the very first day, it was clear that she has a deep and thoughtful understanding of newborn development and milestones—she noticed the little things, anticipated our baby’s needs, and always approached each moment with gentleness and care. Her cheerful and calming presence had a very positive impact on our baby’s mood and overall well-being, bringing warmth, joy, and steadiness into our daily routine. Ayden My Birth Doula was an absolute lifesaver throughout my entire birth journey. From our prenatal visit to postnatal support, she was incredibly informative, knowledgeable, and always on time. She helped me understand what to expect, even knowing that birth can be an unexpected process at times, which gave me confidence and peace of mind going into labor. As a single mom by choice, Ayden was especially respectful and empathetic to my unique needs and how they differ from those of a couple. She was deeply supportive, caring, and thoughtful, never dismissive, and always made me feel seen, understood, and honored in my experience. During birth, Ayden was kind, nurturing, and remarkably calm. Her lovely positive affirmations and strong, grounding words helped me stay focused and empowered. Her intuitive guidance, especially with birth positioning for pushing was invaluable, and she attentively nurtured all of my needs, from snacks and water to maintaining dim lighting and a peaceful space. Giving birth to a Christmas baby unfortunately for me turned into travel nurses, and midwives and nothing going as planned. Yet, Ayden created calm within the chaos. She helped keep me grounded and feeling safe, and knowing she was by my side brought immense comfort. Her postnatal visit was just as supportive and reassuring, helping me process the experience and feel cared for beyond the birth itself. I truly cannot imagine my birth experience without Ayden’s support. Truly a Doula Angel Sent to help bring my baby girl into this world safely and as calm as possible in the unknown.

We hired Teresa for overnight doula support, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her care during the fourth trimester. From the very beginning, she was accommodating, flexible, and highly communicative. She’s proactive, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient—an invaluable support system during such a transitional time as first-time parents.Teresa went above and beyond to make our entire household feel comfortable. She agreed to a meet-and-greet before our baby arrived to help our dog adjust to someone new in the home. Her understanding of how to interact with both our dog and cat put us at ease and ensured our pets felt safe and undisturbed.Toward the end of my pregnancy, we experienced unexpected complications that led to an induction, leaving us uncertain about when we’d return home. Throughout it all, Teresa remained flexible and ready to support us—and she was there for us the very first night we came home from the hospital. In addition to providing exceptional newborn care, Teresa helped with small but meaningful tasks like folding laundry, cleaning bottles, and preparing pump parts. Her proactive nature truly stood out—she often took care of things we hadn’t yet gotten to, easing our mental load in a big way.As first-time parents, we had a steep learning curve. Teresa’s expertise and calm, patient guidance helped us navigate those early weeks with confidence. By the time our baby reached two months, we were even able to achieve four-hour stretches of sleep—something that felt impossible in the beginning. For anyone considering an overnight doula, we wholeheartedly recommend Teresa. Her support made an incredible difference for our family—and if we could, we’d keep her forever.
