This is my first pregnancy and I’m still in the very early stages, so I’m looking for someone who is highly knowledgeable, experienced, and well-educated who can help guide me through the process. I don’t have a birth plan yet and haven’t decided where I would like to give birth. I’d love someone who can educate me on my options, answer my questions, help me understand what to expect, and support me in making informed decisions as my pregnancy progresses. It’s also really important to me that I find someone I feel genuinely comfortable with and can trust—someone warm, supportive, and easy to talk to. I’m open to discussing budget based on experience and the services offered.

HI, my husband and I are planning to deliver at BR Women's Hospital. The expected due date is Dec 24th. We live in Burnaby, close to Metrotown. Our budget is somewhat flexible but preferably within 1000-1500. We do not yet have a birth plan. That's something we hope the doula would help us with since we are both first time parents and don't really have a ton of knowledge on the whole birthing thing. We are hoping to work with someone who can prepare the both of us for what's to come - share knowledge, skills, answer questions and support.

I will be giving birth at Richmond Birth Centre and am looking for someone who: • Has solid experience supporting births and is comfortable with early labour, active labour and postpartum support • Lives in or is very close to Richmond and can provide reliable, short notice/on-call support when labour begins • Is fully vaccinated and up to date with routine vaccinations • Is calm, supportive and reassuring, especially for a first-time mother who may need some extra emotional reassurance • Is available for birth support on an hourly basis, as I would prefer to pay based on the actual hours of support rather than a fixed package • Is also available for overnight newborn/postpartum support after the birth My preference would be to start with birth support on an hourly basis. If we are a good fit and I am happy with the support, I would be interested in continuing with the same doula for overnight postpartum/newborn support during the first few weeks. Just found out I'm pregnant, and I'm looking for a doula who can be by my side during prenatal and during birth. My husband gets queasy and faints at the sight of blood, so I need an active helper by my side! I hope to give birth at the Everett Providence Hospital vaginally with pain relief meds, but I do want centering and holistic birthing practices used as well. I'm only 6 weeks pregnant, so I don't have too many details figured out, but with this being my first pregnancy, having a large support team is important to me. I would like to establish a relationship with a doula before birth so that I know somewhat what to expect in care during birth and post-birth. I am also interested in home visits post-taking the baby home so that I can make sure I can shower and such while the baby is looked after. We are looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced postpartum doula to help support our family after the arrival of our baby. We would ideally like someone with postpartum doula training or certification and several years of experience caring for newborns. Current infant CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred, along with excellent references and a background check. We are looking for someone who is confident with newborn care, including diapering, soothing, bottle feeding, burping, safe sleep practices, and helping establish healthy newborn sleep routines. Experience supporting formula feeding would be a plus. We want someone who is supportive of our choices and takes a calm, nonjudgmental approach to caring for our baby. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, patient, dependable, and easy to have in our home. We would love a doula who can provide guidance when we need it while also respecting our preferences and helping us become more confident as new parents. Our estimated budget is $35–$50 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, responsibilities. We are open to discussing rates with the right person.

I am working with Strathcona Midwifery Collective for my prenatal care. I am planning on a low-intervention vaginal birth, if possible.
