I’m looking to see if there is a midwife who does home births. Im currently scheduled for a hospital birth but idk if it’s too late to switch and if it is I am doing research for my next birth. I have Aetna Star medicaid. My goal is as low interventions as possible with as natural and physiological birth as possible.

I want delayed cord clamping, no bathing of my baby girl, immediate skin to skin, and no help with placenta removal unless medically necessary. I plan to give birth at home. I have birthed two prior babies at home back in Puerto Rico. We are US citizens but this is my first time living in the main land, in Texas. My first home birth was $2,500 and my second because I used the same midwife services and she already knew me I paid $1,800. I dont know how things work here in the US so im not sure about “budget”. I had one birth on land and another on water. I liked both but would like to birth in water again for this third baby. I am Planning on not finding out the gender to have a birth gender reveal and it be a surprise to us since we already have one boy and one girl.
