Suzanne Nicklas, RN, IBCLC

Hi, I'm Suzanne Nicklas! I'm a Registered Nurse, IBCLC, Doula and Health Coach based in Greenville, SC. As a nurse, my passion has been working with new parents and infants. I have worked with hundreds of families in my fifteen years as a lactation consultant and doula. I love educating families prior to the birth of their baby and particularly enjoy the postpartum period. As the mother of four, my own birth experiences led me to this work. I offer 24/7 on call Lactation "office hours" to assist families at any time of day or night. My passion for wellness started many years ago when I took the first of many health coach trainings, the first being through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I began health coaching in 2010 and since then my practice has transformed and grown in many ways. As I have grown as a person, so has my work. Along the way I have picked up skills based on my own personal interests and broadened my education and am able to share those with both my lactation and doula clients as well as my coaching clients. Some of these training include yoga, aromatherapy and reiki. It is my love of combining conventional and alternative philosophies of care that led me to Ayurveda and Yoga. My trainings have enabled me to blend the wisdom of Eastern medicine into our Western way of living to create lifestyle transformations that work in our busy day to day lives. All of my services are offered both virtually and in person. Lastly but most importantly, as a partner and mother of four amazing humans, I bring both personal experience and professional care to the families I serve. I am honored that you have chosen to visit my site and I look forward to working together.

Kelly Heinerth

Hi! My name is Kelly, and I am a birth and postpartum doula in Western North Carolina. I primarily work in the Asheville and surrounding areas. I have been in birth work in this community for almost 20 years in one capacity or another, including being the office manager and light clinical support at WNC Birth Center until shortly before it closed in 2021. While most of my experience is with midwives and midwifery clients, I support families wherever they feel most comfortable, whether that's at home, the hospital, or a freestanding birth center. I launched my own practice in 2025 after finally completing an official birth doula training program that year, and I added a postpartum doula training certificate in early 2026. My favorite part of supporting birth is witnessing the transformation to new parenthood, and it doesn't matter if it's the first time or the fifth. Each time we birth a baby, we change a little (or a lot!). Walking that sacred path with someone is an honor, and I have yet to attend a birth where I didn't leave feeling in awe. I have birthed three children of my own, and each one was a uniquely powerful experience. While I do bring those experiences to the birth room, I do not let them dominate. Instead, I let them guide me to support in ways I wish I had been supported and let them teach me the art of surrender. I am also a postpartum doula, and I am very passionate about supporting parents in those early days, weeks, and months after birth. There is so much new about adding a member to the family, and we were never meant to do this alone. I greatly enjoy mothering the mother and helping other family members adjust to a new routine. I am available for short stretches of time or overnight care. When I am not working in the birth community, I am likely to be snuggling a cat or a dog, reading a psychological thriller, watching a true crime show, or knitting.

If it wasn’t for Tori helping me deliver I would of had a stressful delivering my baby boy. She made me feel comfortable while my mom was freaking out when it was time to give birth. I also freaked out when I saw 10 nurses in the room trying to flip me over while I couldn’t move, Tori calmed me down while I was Experiencing stress from everyone around me. She made my birth smooth as possible. Thank you! I highly recommend Tori if your looking for a doula. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Lacey was an absolutely amazing doula! From our first meeting with her, it was evident that she was very knowledgeable and passionate about the birthing process. The prenatal visits were so helpful in preparing for birth. We could not have made it through the labor process so smoothly without Lacey's help. She was so helpful in getting me into different positions for pain relief and providing anything I needed (snacks, water, fan, birthing comb) while helping me work through contractions alongside my husband. Having the extra set of hands was so beneficial. After birth, Lacey has reached out frequently to check on us and offer tips and assistance. She is truly passionate about her work and we highly recommend!!

November 2026

Lacey is such a gifted doula! From our first coffee chat, my husband and I felt instantly comforted by Lacey’s confidence, knowledge, and caring spirit. She brings such a rich background of personal and professional experience to her craft as a doula, as well as her continuing educational pursuits of midwifery! Perhaps most importantly, Lacey is incredibly easy to talk to. She brings so much support: she brings laughter in the moments that feel overwhelming, clarity and practical guidance when you’re unsure of what to try next, and she is an attentive communicator — prioritizing mom and baby throughout the entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. I cannot recommend Lacey enough and truly believe any expectant mom or new mom would be so lucky to work with her (we know we feel beyond lucky to have found & connected with Lacey!).

September 2026

Lacey helped us out through a series of overnight doula stays, which we spread out over several weeks. It made the second month more manageable and helped me ( mom) recover from illness. Lacey was so helpful with our baby boy and helped us develop a more sustainable rhythm moving forward. Both I and my spouse found the added sleep to be an incredibly valuable investment! We would highly recommend Lacey! She was wonderful with our baby boy.
