I would love a doula to coach my husband to ensure he is part of the process as well. I would love a doula that brings helpful labor tools (TENS unit, birth ball etc). First baby planning a hospital birth - uncertain on budget

- I would like to give birth at a birth center/c-section/water birth. - i’m still waiting to hear from my insurance (Charity Care or WellPoint) but I think a little over $1500 - I mean, i feel like CPR + any life-or-death certifications, I don’t want someone extremely young or religious, I would like someone who speaks Spanish fluently to explain things to my family. - [personal details hidden] and my husband is 23 years old (our birthdays are before the delivery) - To be honest I would like sleep training as well as cooking and the best things to always have in mind this is our first kid!

Delivered at nyu in the city, son was born at 38 weeks, vaginal birth with epidural. Was a terrible experience where I didnt feel like I had a voice. Everything escalated really quickly. And hoping to have that additional layer of guidance and support this time around.
