Hi, I’m Danielle! I’m a postpartum doula, lactation educator, and Master Health Coach with a Bachelor’s in Health Education and a passion for practical, evidence-informed, and nourishing care for mothers and families after birth. With over a decade in healthcare, I support families through the realities of early postpartum life, from physical recovery and infant feeding to newborn care, nourishing meal preparation, rest, and the everyday tasks that can feel overwhelming with a new baby. My approach is mother-first, with hands-on support that helps mothers feel cared for while they care for their babies. I’m also a mom who has experienced the messy, beautiful, and humbling parts of postpartum myself. My own recovery taught me how important practical support, nourishment, and having someone in your corner can be during those early weeks. I’m passionate about helping mothers feel informed, replenished, and supported as they recover, adjust, and settle into life with their baby.

Danielle is truly wonderful! As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I know just how important it is for moms to feel supported throughout pregnancy and postpartum, and Danielle is exactly the kind of person you want by your side during that time. She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about helping moms and families navigate this stage of life. She has such a warm, calming presence and makes everyone around her feel comfortable and cared for. It’s so clear how much she loves what she does, and I would highly recommend her to any new or expecting mom!

ERIN HAGERTY STEVENS | erin.hagety@gmail.com | (857)600-8005 | Duxbury, Massachusetts Overnight Nanny | Newborn, Preemie & Multiples Care | Family Assistant PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY Experienced childcare provider, childcare-business operator and mother of three with decades of hands-on experience caring for children, beginning with non-sibling childcare at approximately age 12. Former owner/operator of a childcare service in Bondi, Australia, where I developed and executed the marketing plan, grew the client base, coordinated additional American nannies and traveled with families throughout Australia. Earlier childcare experience includes independently creating and operating children's summer camps in Duxbury and serving as a substitute teacher in a local pre-K environment. Mother of identical premature twins, now age 11, whom I cared for from birth while simultaneously raising their then-3-year-old sister. Extensive experience with multiples, overnight infant care, feeding and sleep routines, infant reflux, dairy allergies, dietary restrictions and the realities of managing several young children's needs at once. A Communications graduate of Tulane University, I place particular importance on understanding the individual I am interacting with—whether a child, parent or fellow caregiver—and treating each person with respect. Calm, adaptable, nurturing and highly organized, I work particularly well in team-parenting environments and can quickly shift from focused one-on-one care to monitoring and engaging multiple children. CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE Founder & Camp Leader Independent Children's Summer Day Camp | Duxbury, MA Seasonal, beginning 1992 • Created and independently ran a children's summer day camp from my family home in Duxbury during my middle- and high-school years. • Operated two-week camp sessions each summer for 4+ girls ages 3 and older. • Developed the daily program, activities and schedule. • Provided lunch plus two healthy snacks each day. • Planned and supervised outdoor physical activities to keep children active and engaged. • Created and led a different nature-inspired craft project each day, incorporating the outdoors and natural materials whenever possible. • Balanced active play, creative activities, meals and quieter periods to provide an engaging and varied experience. • Maintained a safe, structured and welcoming environment while supervising several young children simultaneously. • Developed early experience in childcare entrepreneurship, activity planning, meal preparation, group supervision, organization and earning parents' trust. Owner / Operator & Traveling Childcare Provider Independent Childcare Service | Bondi, NSW, Australia • Founded and operated a childcare service supporting local and traveling families in Bondi and surrounding areas. • Developed, produced and executed the marketing plan used to build the business and attract families. • Grew the service to include 2+ additional American childcare providers/nannies to help support client demand. • Worked directly with parents to understand their children's personalities, routines, developmental needs and family expectations. • Coordinated caregivers, schedules, family communication and day-to-day childcare-service operations. • Built close, trusted relationships with client families, many of whom became lasting friends. • Developed a reputation through relationships and referrals, including being sought out by expatriate families with connections to Cape Cod. • Traveled with families and provided childcare away from their primary residences. • Frequently accompanied families to additional homes and destinations along the New South Wales coast, adapting quickly to unfamiliar homes, travel schedules and changing routines. • Helped children maintain consistency and security while moving between locations and environments. • Worked in coastal settings where some family properties were accessible only by boat, making lifeguard training and strong water-safety awareness particularly valuable. • Applied water-safety principles while caring for children of different ages, abilities and levels of aquatic comfort. • Navigated childcare challenges specific to the Australian environment, including identifying potential environmental hazards such as unfamiliar spiders and determining when additional safety precautions or assistance were appropriate. • Developed exceptional adaptability, resourcefulness and situational awareness while caring for children away from their normal environments. • Provided families with a high level of discretion, flexibility, independence and responsibility. Private Family & Parenting Experience Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Multiples & School-Age Care | Duxbury, MA • Raised three children, including identical premature twins, now age 11, and their older sister, who was age 3 when the twins were born. • Simultaneously cared for two premature infants while meeting the developmental and emotional needs of a preschool-age child. • Extensive firsthand experience with overnight infant care, frequent night waking, soothing, feeding schedules, diapering and sleep routines. • Significant experience managing the unique demands of twins and multiple young children simultaneously. • Experienced with infant acid reflux, including associated feeding, soothing and comfort challenges. • Managed dairy allergies and dietary restrictions affecting the twins. • Personally familiar with gluten-free dietary needs, food sensitivities and careful food preparation. • Comfortable transitioning quickly between focused 1-on-1 care and monitoring multiple children as a group. • Work well within a team-parenting approach, respecting parents' preferences, household routines and established expectations. Substitute Pre-K Teacher - Magic Dragon • Served as a substitute teacher in a pre-K environment working directly with children ages 3 and older. • Supported children with a range of personalities, learning styles, individual strengths, unique gifts and developmental challenges. • Adapted communication, expectations and activities according to the individual child rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. • Helped maintain a structured, respectful and supportive classroom environment. • Worked collaboratively with caregivers and educators while remaining attentive to individual children's needs. CHILDCARE & FAMILY SUPPORT STRENGTHS Premature infant experience Feeding and sleep routines Toddler, preschool, school-age and preteen care Identical twins and multiples Night waking and soothing Children with differing developmental needs and abilities Overnight newborn and infant care Travel nanny experience Children's activity and program development Infant reflux Team-parenting environments Outdoor physical activities Dairy allergies and food sensitivities One-on-one and group childcare Nature-based arts and crafts Dietary restrictions and gluten-free households Family-assistant support Meal and healthy snack preparation Coastal and water-safety awareness Maintaining children's routines while traveling Lifeguard training COMMUNICATION & CARE PHILOSOPHY My education and professional background in Communications reinforce something I have practiced throughout my childcare experience: consider the individual human being you are interacting with and treat that person with respect. Children have different personalities, abilities, sensitivities, communication styles and developmental needs. I believe effective childcare requires observing those differences, listening carefully and adapting how I communicate and engage while maintaining appropriate boundaries, consistency and safety. I am equally comfortable providing focused individual attention or shifting quickly into group supervision when several children need attention at once. I also value a collaborative relationship with parents and other caregivers so that children receive consistent expectations and support. ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Senior Marketing & Communications Professional Accomplished senior marketing and communications professional with extensive experience developing marketing strategies and managing complex projects, budgets, events, schedules, vendors and cross-functional teams. This professional background brings an additional level of organization, communication, discretion and problem-solving to childcare and family-assistant work. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Exceptional organization and scheduling abilities. • Experienced managing numerous competing priorities simultaneously. • Comfortable making decisions independently and adapting when circumstances change. • Experienced managing logistics, appointments, schedules and detailed coordination. • Collaborative team member who also works effectively without supervision. • Professional, discreet and respectful of family privacy. EDUCATION Tulane University - Bachelor's Degree, Communications AVAILABILITY Seeking part-time opportunities in Duxbury and surrounding South Shore communities, including overnight nanny care, newborn and infant overnight support, twins and multiples care, parent overnight relief, recurring or occasional overnight coverage, travel nanny opportunities and family-assistant/childcare hybrid positions. Hi, my name is Kimberly. I am the manager of Gentle Beginnings LLC. I started my birth doula career back in 2020. I was a new mom and realized I had a passion for doula care and I decided to jump into it! Unfortunately, the pandemic made it quite difficult to attend births in person but that didn't stop me. Over the years, I learned many new families didn't just need a support person through birth but also for all the phases that followed. Currently I'm working towards my pediatric sleep consultant certification. My business partner, Evelyn, has 30+ years of experience as a nanny and newborn care specialist, and has recently been certified as a postpartum doula as well. We both decided it was time to start a new company that offered all the services! We look forward to helping you through any part of your journey as a new family and hope you choose us as your providers!

We are so thankful for Kim and her crew during those early months with our daughter. Even as a second time mom it is so helpful to have an extra set of seasoned eyes on your newborn. Our daughter was dealing with some gas issues. She was able to help us figure out what worked for our daughter. We adjusted her bottle and post feeding routine to help alleviate the gas. I also feel that they help lay the ground work for independent sleep which is such a blessing! We cannot thank them enough for the care they have provided for both of our children. If baby three ever happens, they will be our first call!

As a dedicated advocate, passionate follower of God, and accomplished entrepreneur, I find joy in bringing people together. By day, I’m a writer and aspiring politician; by night, I’m a compassionate doula supporting families through transformative moments. Rooted in a deep love for community, I actively engage with organizations that empower women and girls, connecting them to vital resources and opportunities. Birth is a transformative journey that deeply affects an individual on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. I believe that preparing for and experiencing birth empowers and illuminates not only women, but everyone involved in the process.

I honestly can’t say enough great things about Doula Kayanna James. She was recommended to me by a family member, and from the very first conversation, I could tell why she’s so loved and respected in the community. From start to finish, she was such a calming, supportive presence throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. Kayanna went above and beyond to make sure I felt prepared, confident, and cared for. She signed me up for classes that taught me so much about labor and what to expect as a first-time mom, things I would have never known otherwise. When it came time to give birth, she was right there with me, offering amazing tips and techniques to help me cope through the pain and stay focused. Her voice, her encouragement, and her gentle guidance helped me stay grounded through every contraction. What really stood out to me was how much she truly cares. She checked in on me before and after the birth, making sure I was healing well and adjusting to motherhood. It didn’t feel like I was working with a service; it felt like I had someone in my corner who genuinely wanted the best for me and my baby. If you’re thinking about having a doula, I can’t recommend Kayanna James enough. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly dedicated to the families she supports. You can tell she loves what she does, and it shows in every way. I’m beyond grateful for her guidance and care, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Hi, I'm Carrie-Lee! I'm a postpartum specialist with over fifteen years supporting families. Families I've worked with often say the same thing, that I put them instantly at ease, that I teach without ever making them feel overwhelmed, and more than one has told me they felt like they won the lottery finding me. That means everything to me. I raised three wildly creative, wonderfully unique kids to adulthood, and that experience shapes everything I bring into a family's home. Over the years I've kept training so I could support postpartum families in every direction they need it, baby care, parent education, helping parents sleep, helping baby sleep, meal prep, lactation support, all of it. So instead of piecing together three or four different specialists, you get one person who already knows your family. I'm laid back, calm under pressure, and genuinely love what I do. When I'm not with a family you'll find me camping, roller skating, gardening, canning, practicing archery, or slowly working my way toward conversational Spanish. Let's chat and see if we're a good fit! We had an exceptional experience with Carrie-Lee. As first-time parents bringing our newborn home, having her support as our postpartum doula made an incredible difference for our family. From the moment we met her, Carrie-Lee was warm, kind, and immediately put us at ease. Her extensive knowledge and experience with newborn care were evident in everything she did, and we trusted her completely to care for our daughter while we caught up on some much-needed sleep. Knowing our baby was in such capable and loving hands gave us tremendous peace of mind. Beyond the practical support, Carrie-Lee was also an amazing teacher. We learned so much simply by watching her interact with our daughter and through the thoughtful guidance and advice she shared with us. She has a wonderful ability to share her expertise in a way that feels encouraging, approachable, and never overwhelming. Carrie-Lee is not only exceptionally skilled but also incredibly down-to-earth and genuinely kind. We are so grateful she was part of our postpartum journey and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone welcoming a new baby, including our own family and closest friends. She is truly an invaluable resource, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had her support during such a special time.

Hi, I’m Jasmine, a certified full spectrum doula with a postpartum focus. I am currently based in Worcester, Massachusetts and serve Greater Boston and surrounding communities. My background in early childhood education, child development, and critical ethnic and community studies shapes my warm, informed, and culturally responsive approach to care. I support families through the practical and emotional realities of welcoming a new baby, including newborn care, overnight support, parental rest and recovery, feeding support within my scope, sibling transitions, meal preparation, household organization, and the creation of sustainable family routines. Because no two families or postpartum experiences are alike, I prioritize clear communication, thoughtful observation, and care that respects each family’s culture, values, and choices. My experience spans classrooms, inclusive preschool settings, early intervention, private childcare, travel care, and hands-on household and family assistance. This allows me to see the whole picture: not only what the baby needs, but what will help the entire household feel calmer, more confident, and genuinely supported. I bring a steady presence, strong attention to detail, and a judgment-free approach to every home.

Renee Reece

Carver, Massachusetts 12 years of experience

Renee Reece

Hi! My name is Renee, and I am a Registered Nurse with over 10 years of experience caring for children, newborns, and postpartum mothers. My nursing background includes working in both a pediatric department and a Mother-Infant/Postpartum unit, where I cared for newborns, supported breastfeeding and feeding, monitored newborn weight and intake/output, administered medications, and provided education and support to new parents. I currently work as a pediatric nurse and am also pursuing my Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Beyond my professional experience, becoming a mother myself has given me an even deeper appreciation for how special—and sometimes overwhelming—the newborn stage can be. I also have personal experience with IVF, so I understand firsthand the emotional journey, anticipation, and hopes that can come with building a family. I know how precious and deeply loved these little ones are, and I approach every family with the same care, patience, and respect that I would want for my own. As a night nanny, my goal is not only to provide safe, attentive care for your baby throughout the night, but also to give parents the opportunity to rest and feel confident knowing their little one is in experienced, caring hands. I am comfortable caring for newborns, assisting with nighttime feedings, diapering, soothing, newborn routines, and communicating with parents about how the night went.
