Hi, I’m Catherine! 🤍 I’m a mom to four boys, a Christian birth doula, and a birth photographer. My passion for birth really began after my first homebirth. It was the first time I truly felt empowered, informed, and connected to my own strength throughout the birth process—and it completely changed the way I saw birth. I owe it all to choosing the right birth team! That experience sparked a desire in me to help other women experience that same sense of confidence and empowerment, no matter where or how they choose to birth. I believe our bodies were created with an incredible ability to give birth, but I also believe we were never meant to do it alone. I’m here to hold your hand, remind you of how strong you are, help you navigate the unknown, and celebrate with you when you finally get to meet your baby. The way I serve my clients is best described as being your “birth bestie” or “birth sister.” I want to truly know you—your hopes, your dreams, your fears, your past experiences, and what makes you feel safe and supported—because the better I know you, the better I can support you. Throughout pregnancy, I offer a listening ear, a calm presence, encouragement, and a safe space to talk through all the “tmi” things on your mind. And when birth arrives, I’ll be right there beside you, offering steady hands, reassurance, comfort, and support for both you and your partner. As a birth photographer, I also have the privilege of preserving the beautiful, raw, emotional moments that can feel like a blur afterward—the hands holding yours, your partner’s face, the anticipation, the tears, and those first moments with your baby. The Tubina Wild Milky Birth Tub offers a spacious design, soft inflatable sides, and excellent support for movement and position changes throughout labor. This is designed for moms who want consistent encouragement, reassurance, and guidance between appointments, without committing to a full doula package. This guide was created for women who desire a more intentional, informed, and supported birth experience—especially those hoping for a natural, physiologic birth. Inside Rooted Birth, we go far beyond basic birth education. My doula support is especially rooted in physiological, low-intervention birth and helping families feel confident in the natural process of birth. I love supporting women who hope for an unmedicated or minimally intervened birth, while honoring that every birth is unique and sometimes takes an unexpected path. Catherine really made my experience special. This was my first pregnancy and I didn’t really know what to expect with labor and delivery. We decided to have birth photos done very late in my pregnancy & I’m so thankful we found Catherine! She was such a blessing to us during our birth. I planned & hoped for a birth at my local birthing center, but baby was comfy & I ended up needing an induction, which led to a c-section. Catherine arrived to the hospital & was so helpful to us, even offering some laboring tools that she had on hand. Though we did not utilize her doula services, we got a glimpse of what she has to offer & I will absolutely utilize her as a doula in the future. Throughout pregnancy I went back and fourth as to if I should hire a doula or not. I made the decision to and I’m SO glad I did. When I first met with Catherine, I knew she would be the perfect choice. Throughout pregnancy she provided tips on how to breastfeed, baby wear, and set myself up for success postpartum. During birth, she could read my every need and knew exactly what to suggest or do. There were times throughout my birth where I was struggling and locked eyes with her and felt safe. She encouraged me and told me, “you’re made to do this, there is nothing to fear”. After birth, she has been an amazing resource. As a first time mom, I had so many questions and she always gave the best advice. She has sent me articles, podcasts, doctors, anything I needed to make the transition into motherhood more smooth. My husband and I are forever grateful for Catherine. We cannot picture pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period without her. She was our rock when we needed her.
