I had my daughter in 2021 and I fell deep into it and searched for information and knowledge around birth and postpartum. 2024 I got certified as a postpartum doula and now in 2026 I got certified as a birth doula. My name is McKenna; I am a birth and postpartum doula. I became a doula in 2023 after the birth of my second child. As too many experience, my birth with my first was not what I had envisioned it to be. This lead me down the path of how disconnected birth has become. After my second child, I started my doula education and set on a path to help families feel supported and educated no matter the circumstance. As a doula, helping mom & baby of course is the main focus, but supporting the partner and/or the whole family unit is another major aspect of my practice as well. Partners are a vital role in the birth, and I focus on this connection between the two. I recognize that giving birth and the postpartum period is more than a medical experience, it is a key life experience and one that will be remembered all your life. This is something I take very seriously and feel very honored to be involved in such a sacred, special life event of yours.
