Currently, I am a case manager for veterans. I am passionate and dedicated to providing empathy, and compassion to as many living beings as I can. I became a doula because of the trauma that I experienced while giving birth to my daughters. I knew that I wanted to assist as many birthing people as I can. I am passionate about providing comfort and support to as many birthing people as I can. I am trained in acupressure, and I am currently receiving training for Reiki services. My name is McKenna; I am a birth and postpartum doula. I became a doula in 2023 after the birth of my second child. As too many experience, my birth with my first was not what I had envisioned it to be. This lead me down the path of how disconnected birth has become. After my second child, I started my doula education and set on a path to help families feel supported and educated no matter the circumstance. As a doula, helping mom & baby of course is the main focus, but supporting the partner and/or the whole family unit is another major aspect of my practice as well. Partners are a vital role in the birth, and I focus on this connection between the two. I recognize that giving birth and the postpartum period is more than a medical experience, it is a key life experience and one that will be remembered all your life. This is something I take very seriously and feel very honored to be involved in such a sacred, special life event of yours.
