I have been an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 2015. Prior to becoming an IBCLC, I was a Certified Lactation Counselor since 2006. My passion for breastfeeding truly came when I breast fed my first child, born in 2007. I have three children and eleven years of personal breastfeeding experience. I joined Rush Copley Medical Center as a Lactation Counselor in 2013 and held this position until transitioning to an IBCLC in 2015, further adding to my expertise in NICU, Pediatrics, and outpatient complex cases. I am a trauma-informed, healing-centered, and evidence-based fertility, birth, and postpartum doula with over seventeen years of experience providing client-centered, queer and trans affirming care, advocacy, and education in various public health settings. As a Full-Spectrum Birth Worker since 2014, I provide informational, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical support during the entire perinatal period. I was certified in 2015, and I have served as a volunteer peer breastfeeding counselor since 2011.
