My name is Rebecca Gordon. I am the founder of Mindful Family Wellness, Certified Labor Doula, Postpartum Doula, Certified HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Educator, a North Carolina Licensed Nutritionist, Certified Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Placenta Arts Specialist. I live just north of Charlotte, NC, in the Lake Norman area with my husband, 4 daughters, and lots of fur babies. As a doula and nutritionist whose practice serves the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas of North Carolina, I support birthing people improve their overall health, birth outcome, and mental wellness through the experiences of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I I'm Stephanie, the owner of Gentle Birthing. My passion for birth work began after the home birth of my first child in 2010, when I experienced the incredible support of a midwife and birth team. That experience inspired me to help other women learn about their birth options and approach birth with confidence. Since then, I've welcomed six children through home births, including five water births, and have continued to deepen my knowledge of pregnancy, birth physiology, and natural comfort measures. The encouragement I received from my own birth team shaped the way I viewed birth, and I strive to provide that same compassionate, evidence-based support to the families I serve. In addition to birth work, I have experience supporting families during the postpartum period, providing overnight newborn care as they adjust to life with a new baby. Hello! My name is Andrea and I am one half of the Charlotte Doula Team. My doula partner, Sarah Smith, and I offer birth doula services in the greater Charlotte, NC area. We are both experienced doulas who have been serving in Charlotte for many years. We aim to provide exceptional, compassionate support for our clients during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Thankfully, my obsession has led me to experience some amazing twin and triplet births (vaginal and cesarean). I also fully support and love those who birth their babies from their bellies. I now offer planned cesarean support as well! ​ I have been trained in a variety of comfort measure techniques including, rebozo, acupressure, massage, guided meditation, and aromatherapy. I am a certified Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. Additionally, I have significant experience with clients using other forms of Hypnosis for birth. ​ I have a fierce desire to help clients who struggle with walking a unique fertility path. As the first Fertility Doula in Charlotte, NC, I know just how much support surrounding fertility complications and infertility is needed in our community. I have recently started organizing a collective of doulas committed to offering support to families and individuals undergoing any fertility assistance. Fertility work has led me to find passion in also supporting families with surrogates and those going through surrogacy. ​ Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding, pumping, supplementing, and formula feeding are all journeys that I’m in full support of and have significant experience with as well. Hello friends!! I wanted to properly introduce myself. My name is Kendall Francis. I am a christian certified birth doula. I serve mama’s in the Fort Mill and Charlotte surrounding areas during pregnancy and postpartum. I am married to my best friend, Collin Francis and we just had the most perfect baby girl, Saylor Grace Francis, born at home on July 31st, 2022. Our hearts are so full! I became a doula because I am so passionate about everything pregnancy and birth but most importantly because I believe women and their families need such a strong support system during this season in their life. I worked in the hospital system for almost 4 years on several different units from ER to maternity, went to nursing school and got my LPN degree all to realize I wanted nothing more than to support women holistically. I believe with all my heart that it is OUR decision as women how our pregnancy journey should turn out and WE have the control, not our providers.
