Hi everyone! I'm Brittany Fatoma, a certified perinatal doula (prenatal, antepartum, and postpartum) and perinatal doula trainer. I'm a proud wife to a phenomenal husband and mama to a powerhouse little girl who's growing up fast. When I'm not busy supporting families, you can find me dancing to music, belting out karaoke tunes, or whipping up some of my favorite Southern dishes. Before becoming a doula, I taught early childhood and elementary education for eight years. I was also passionate about leading a nonprofit advocating equitable educational opportunities for Black and Brown children. Birth work allows me to beautifully combine my love for children with my desire to empower and support birthing individuals. As a doula, I'm particularly interested in supporting families through challenging and exceptional circumstances, such as first-time parenthood. I also prioritize helping clients stay healthy and active throughout pregnancy. I offer comprehensive childbirth education to equip parents with the necessary knowledge and confidence. My ultimate goal is to create a space where birthing individuals feel empowered to have the desired birthing experience.

I am a birth doula and photographer, and I serve the areas in and around Fulton, Columbia, and Jefferson City. I became a doula because a woman's experience in labor and childbirth can often affect how confident she feels as a mother, especially in the early weeks postpartum. The role of a mother is an important one and it is vital that she feels empowered to make decisions for herself and her children that line up with her beliefs and values. Mothers have certain beliefs and values because they believe that these will be the most beneficial for their children and I want to support that.

My name is Stephanie Smith, I am a LPN and IBCLC- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I live with my family on our farm near Marshall Junction, where we raise chickens, ducks and emu (yes, Emu, feel free to ask me why!) and a bunch of farm cats. I enjoy caring for all our animals and gardening, and stay busy with our kids in a variety of school activities and sports. Professionally, I’ve been a nurse for 20 years, working in OB/GYN for the past 14 years. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2016 and then continued my education to earn my IBCLC in 2025. My experience is in both hospital postpartum and outpatient clinic, caring for moms and babies throughout the first year and beyond. I often thought how much easier it would be for families if I could just show up and sit with them on their couch and help them- and now I can! I offer home visits to help with latch issues, milk supply concerns, flange fit and pumping support and more!
