Welcome! I have been a certified birth and postpartum doula for almost six years now, and a childbirth educator for one! I focus my care in equitable, affirming, nonjudgmental support by meeting families exactly where they are and empowering them to meet their goals. I believe not in a particular birth plan or parenting style, but in the power of knowledge and informed decision making!

Recent review

Cayla is a literal angel! During my pregnancy she taught my husband counter pressure techniques, worked with me to make my birth plan concise, and helped me pack my hospital bag. When we got to the birth center she set up my room with affirmation cards and candles. Throughout labor she helped me advocate for myself, made sure I stayed hydrated by keeping my water full (it’s the little things), gave me consistent words of encouragement, and snapped some photos. My contractions were back to back so I didn’t get a break and neither did Cayla because her double hip squeezes were a life saver and got me through each contraction!! I highly recommend having Cayla be a part of your birth team (because spouses can’t do it all)!

Courtney was my doula for my little boy born Feb 28, 2022. Courtney was absolutely the best decision we have ever made in regards to birth, I am so thankful I got to have her at my birth and I’m so glad she was our doula. What could have seemed like a chaotic and crazy third VBA2C birth was made calm and achievable from Courtney. I am so glad she was there and she was so helpful in countless ways. She was not only a physical support with self sacrificing hip squeezes and cups of warm water down my back, but also and maybe even more importantly a calm and relaxed voice of reason, a shoulder to cry on, an encouragement when I needed it most and truly the only reason I was able to have a VBAC in a hospital setting. Any woman who chooses Courtney will be blessed by having her at their birth.

Erica and I met at the beginning of my second trimester during my search for a doula. I knew immediately after our first meeting that she was the doula for me. Erica has many years of experience and has a really calming spirit. I shared with her my “calling” to have a natural birth and she was so supportive of my goals. She taught me how to use hypnobirthing techniques during the 6 months prior to my son being born. She also helped me to find resources and learn about my options as well as what questions to ask my doctor. I had an amazing birth experience and believe I was able to achieve a hypnobirth. Erica is unequivocally the best doula in the greater Cincinnati area. You won’t go wrong if you choose her! ❤️

Early parenthood requires decision after decision for you and your family. When we work together, I support YOUR choices, but I am alongside you to provide evidence-based information and practical guidance as you navigate the grey (and fuchsia and chartreuse). Inclusive, compassionate care is always my goal; the way our identities intersect with our role as a parent are front of mind as I work with clients. Anti-racist and LGBTQ-affirming service is of the utmost importance to me. I am fueled by deep connection to community, my family, adventure + travel, and caffeine. I am dreaming up a connected, visible network of Cincinnati postpartum resources: our local families need and deserve this.

Jessica is outstanding and I can not imagine going through the birth of my first son without her! I had a high risk pregnancy with the potential for many complications - Jessica made me feel so safe and secure going into labor and throughout my entire birthing experience. Not only did she help support me, but supported my husband and mom as birthing partners by coaching them in how to support me best. Jessica was always quick to respond at any time, incredibly knowledgeable with her years of experience and certifications, and all around the best support I could've asked for during a potentially stressful time. I can not recommend her more for any women in any position during their pregnancy and birth!

Thank you for stopping by. I am a holistic nurse, doula, childbirth educator, lactation educator, student midwife and an educator here at Birth Fearlessly Academy. I have 10 years of experience supporting families and mother-baby dyads. Above all else, I am a mother to two beautiful children myself. After having two undisturbed home-births and two very different birth experiences - I understand just how essential having the proper support is during these vulnerable events. My goal is to help bridge the gap in education, care and support that families receive. There is no reason every woman should not have an empowering and memorable motherhood experience! Many times, I support families beginning pre-conception, during birth and throughout their fourth trimester. I absolutely love these lasting connections! If you are searching for a holistic-minded doula to support you throughout your unique journey, to lift you up and nurture you - I would love to be that doula for you. I hope to meet many more sisters and life-long friends; for we are the only ones who can create our own village.

This is going to be a long review, but the short version is that Patience is everything I could have ever wanted in a doula. One of the biggest blessings in our birth experience was having her there. She went above and beyond in every way for us. -She provided support, encouragement, and education during my pregnancy -She listened to my husband’s questions and desires, including his desire to catch baby. She spent over 30 minutes in one of our prenatal appointments rehearsing how to catch baby from different birthing positions so that he would feel comfortable and confident -During my labor at home, she was a calm and intuitive presence, knowing exactly when to be hands-off and when to help me. She made sure I stayed hydrated and nourished by cooking food and feeding me and offering liquids between contractions. She encouraged and uplifted me during a 55 hour labor that was long and grueling. -When we could not get rid of my cervical lip at home, she transferred to the hospital with us. She knew what hospital could give us the closest thing to the birth experience that we wanted. She even packed my hospital bag for me and made sure we had everything from phone chargers to food to baby clothes. -Even though she was exhausted and sleep deprived too, she came straight to the hospital and was waiting for us in the delivery room when we got through triage -She was comfortable and confident advocating for my/our wants and needs with the hospital staff. And she could do that so well because she’d taken the time to really get to know us and help us plan the birth we desired and was intimately familiar with what we wanted. -She quickly developed a relationship with my mom who met us at the hospital, and when the staff made my mom leave the room, Patience kept her updated over the next few hours (with our permission of course) so that she wouldn’t worry and so that my husband could focus solely on me. -Throughout my labor at home and my labor/delivery at the hospital, Patience quietly took professional-quality photos of some beautiful and sacred moments that we will treasure always. -She stayed after baby was born for quite a while and made sure we were settled in and taken care of before she left. -I had an unexpectedly difficult postpartum health-wise and Patience was there throughout (long past when her contract ended), providing support, asking after my wellbeing, doing research, offering suggestions, sending reminders, and always sending encouragement. -At my postpartum visit with her, she brought us sweet and thoughtful gifts, including an umbilical cord keepsake and colored prints of my placenta -She encapsulated my placenta for me and did a fantastic job, even down to the detail of using vegetarian capsules due to my health issues. She also makes delicious NORA tea that I drank in my 3rd trimester and postpartum - highly recommend. (I tried another popular brand and it tasted like grass.) There are a million more examples and details I could give you of the way that Patience took care of us so perfectly. I would recommend her to anyone and we will be hiring her again if we are blessed to be able to grow our family further. I am happy to discuss my experience in more detail and/or answer any questions for families considering hiring her!

Hey there, my name is Jasmine Johnston and I’m from Cincinnati, OH. I am a Full Spectrum Doula and Wholistic infant feeding and lactation consultant. I am a proud gardener and crocheter. I also enjoy yoga, herbalism, vegan food, and wholistic health. I’m not new to care taking, I Have 10 Nieces and Nephews and I’ll always say my younger sister was my first baby. However, it was through my first born that I was reborn myself. While pregnant, I gained a passion for birthwork and gardening. I began to understand the importance of getting connected with earth’s essence and supporting each seed towards their fullest potential. In gardening, each seed knows exactly what to do when given the right environment to flourish. I believe in that philosophy for birthing people. I aim to support women in their fully informed power and connection to self through the ancestral ways of breastfeeding, birthing, and wholistic wellness.

First, we will discuss in great detail what you are looking for, then go from there!

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am the owner of Liberty Doula Services based out of Liberty Township, OH. I am also a certified doula and mother of four children. I have a license and Masters in Social Work and prior to becoming a doula, I spent 14 years working as a social worker in the community. While I loved getting to know and work with families, my passion lies in helping and supporting women and families in all stages of pregnancy and early parenthood. After having four unique births of my own, ranging from a hospital induction to a home birth, I realized there is a lack of continuous support for women in our society specifically related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum periods. I believe there are many missed opportunities to help set families up for success, starting with pregnancy and extending through the rest of their lives. I realized this was an opportunity for me to continue to support families in my community, but in a different way. This led me to become a doula. My mission is to walk beside families in my community to help them create gentle and memorable transitions into parenthood. The memories of these days will last a lifetime.
