Over 10 years ago, I answered the call to be with women in the childbearing year. Becoming a doula was my 1st baby step on this most rewarding journey! I advanced through nursing school and gained critical medical knowledge and insight working within the industrial-medical-pharmaceutical-complex, all the while retaining my grounding in the natural power of beautifully supported women. I started attending homebirths as the primary assistant to the midwife in 2014. Between home, hospital, and free-standing birth center settings, I have been honored to attend around 300-400 births as a nurse so far. In my journey, I have worked closely with midwives, learning the art of breastfeeding and participating in passing along this skill from woman to woman, even in the case of serious difficulty. I've coached hundreds of clients from all around the United States on topics ranging from navigating the health care system while pregnant, preventing cesarean section, reducing their risk, and so much more! My saga is only just beginning, and I want to bring as many women and families along this path as I can. Health is freedom. Material knowledge is the currency of our times, but wisdom and intuition are what give knowledge power. I hope to impart my wisdom gained through experience to you, so you can apply this to your life, and do what you know is right in your heart and mind. I want to hold your hand as you take a quantum leap of faith… Faith in yourself, in your body’s design and designer…

Marta Michalska-Uras MCD, MCPD, MCPCD, MBE, MCE (Madriella) is a certified Professional Birth and Postpartum Doula, Breastfeeding Educator and Childbirth Educator and mindfulness and holistic practices passionate. She has a Bachelor Degree in Education from a prestigious Charles University in Prague with extensive psychology courses and five years experience teaching pre-school and primary school students. Marta is very passionate about doula work and accompanying women as they prepare for childbirth, and she continues to support them in birth and beyond. Marta is a peaceful yet spirited mother to 3 wonderful boys- Twins conceived via infertility treatment and delivered vaginally at 38+3 (induced & epidural) and our little Surprise conceived naturally and delivered via unmedicated natural birth. Second pregnancy sparked her passion to become a doula – she studied while being pregnant and applied some techniques while delivering her youngest due to lack of available doula support in town. It was such an amazing experience! Marta calls herself a citizen of the world. She is Polish, married to a Turk, lived in Prague for six years, Louisiana for three and now in Cincinnati. As a person who knows how difficult it is to have babies without family support, she is pretty intuitive and open to what a client might need. In spare time Marta loves to sing, she has Bachelor in Music Education and she took part in two TV programs as well as performed many concerts- so she loves to use voice techniques in sounding out birth and relaxation. Marta’s goal is that every mother feels grounded, nourished, empowered and ready to take on motherhood! She specializes in supporting all birth plans and parenting philosophies including unmedicated (natural) birth / epidural birth / cesarean birth / induction / planned cesarean birth / gentle (family centered) cesarean birth / multiples / VBAC / waterbirth / attachment parenting / babywearing / scheduled parenting / breastfeeding / bottle feeding / formula feeding / and more. Marta values inclusiveness, social justice, and equality. She serves all clients regardless of race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, sex & gender identification abilities, and political identity.

Master of Science, Nutrition Specialist, Herbalist, Chef, Teacher, and Mother, are all callings that I may answer to, yet I am far more than just a list of titles. I live as a ball of energy aligned in harmony. Within and without I have grown to sea Whealth--- that is wholistic nourishment of my mind, body, soul and most importantly the womb. What we feed on (mentally, physically, and spiritually) is what we teach the generations that we create. From my experience within this journey of life, living, and healing, I now know that the secrets to Whealth all lie in the mindset. Just as our temples eat for its energy needs, our minds eat in a system of energy exchange. Thus, the things that we choose to feed on very much determines the quality of life that we see on this Earth. I am here as a resource for all who may follow. Let us mindfully feed and heal wholistically. Your abundance awaits.

Nice to meet you! I’m Alyssa. I’m a boy mama x 2. After having two very different birth experiences, I’m passionate about supporting and educating parents leading up to birth and beyond. With a long induction + c-section birth and also a non-medicated VBAC under my belt, I feel well equipped to support all moms. I love to integrate a holistic approach to birth work, but I also appreciate modern medicine when truly needed. Every mom has their wants and needs when envisioning the birth that they desire, and I love helping them get from where they are to where they want to be. I value breastfeeding and postpartum wellness as well and love to help moms troubleshoot or problem solve when needed. The saying “it takes a village” holds a special place with me as I often feel pulled to be that village for fellow mamas. I strive to make other moms feel appreciated, supported, informed, and confident in their God-given abilities! I live in the Indianapolis area with my husband + our two boys. I love mom hangs, adventuring with my fam, being my kids biggest cheerleader + checking out new local food and coffee spots with my husband.
