Understand what I should do to prepare for birth. Lactation

My husband and I are first time parents and this pregnancy was a big surprise for us. We are very excited but are also overwhelmed and feel unprepared. We moved to Louisville the week finding out we were pregnant and don’t have a big community around us. We are looking for someone to give us facts and help us navigate the ups and downs of birth and how to prepare to feel more confident.

I am doing some research to feel more comfortable with the idea of becoming pregnant. I am on the spectrum and have reservations with the idea of pregnancy due to increased need for communication during stressful times, fear or pain/childbirth, and lack of knowing what to do for a child. I have researched that having a doula can highly help with this since it can be someone who is a trusted person in your corner. I don't have a budget for this service yet since I am still feeling it out-but hope to also be able to have assistance with insurance ( I am a teacher).

I have had two children with an epidural.. but i have been really looking into and studying unmedicated child birth… and would really like to have someone that can keep me calm and remind me that my body is made for this and to work with my body not against it…

I need a birth doula to help advocate for me as I am planning an unmedicated birth in a hospital . If possible to be around $2,000 I don’t have everything outlined for my birth plan but to name a few: - no epidural / no mention of the epidural - no episiotomy - wait for the cord to stop pulsing to cut - dim lights - minimal cervical checks - no pushing on my back - wireless monitoring so I can walk around - delayed bath for the baby to leave vernix - no vaccines - dad to cut the cord - food/water over IV - no

I plan to give birth in a hospital. Vaginally and medication free to Mono-Di twins. I need a Doula that accepts Tricare.
