I’m looking to be matched with an approved, in-network Medicaid doula who services the Pikeville / Eastern Kentucky area i am currently only 7 weeks pregnant and have had two successful pregnancies a 24 month old and a 13 month old i am looking at doing a home birth.

My first baby! My fiance has a 2 year old daughter we take care of full time. She does call me mommy- so let’s say this is my first *birth*. I’ve always been interested in home birth. I’ve always wanted a natural birth and wanted my body to tell me when and how to do things. I have done extensive research but haven’t found much on doulas or midwives in the area or pricing or anything like that so I am seeking information and advice.

I just found out today that I am pregnant with my Third baby, I want to do a natural home birth. My first two were induced at the hospital, Not by choice. But I didn’t really know I had a choice. I had preeclampsia with my first and gestational diabetes with my second. So I’m not sure if it’s even possible to do a home birth but want to find out.

Plan to give birth in a hospital Unsure on budget I want little intervention, I would love to not be induced but do everything I can to get baby in the right position and labor as long as I can at home before heading to the hospital. I’m not opposed to an epidural if I absolutely need it but my goal is to go without so learning all the techniques I need beforehand to cope through it. I don’t want to be tied down to the bed but free to move as I can, even if I end up with an epidural I don’t really want to push on my back. I want skin to skin and delayed cord clamping. I also want to keep my placenta to have capsules made of it. I’m sure I’m forgetting some things but this is what I’ve thought through so far.

Home. Preferably water birth. Non medicated and natural
