I'm looking for night doula 3 days per week for my first 2 weeks, and 1 - 2 nights per week for the following 3-5 weeks. I'm also looking for day time doula 2 - 3 times a week for the first 2 weeks. I'd like the doula to have the doula certification, fully vaccinated, and a lactation certificate would be a plus.
I have Kaiser insurance and am planning on giving birth at Kaiser Santa Clara. My birth plan is to be open to assistance or suggestions from professional support. I would like to try different types of pain management and am open to all if necessary. Ideally I do not want to have an IV so movement is possible. I would like to have delayed chord clamping if possible. Skin to skin and golden hour are important to me. My husband will be in the room and is very kind and attentive. I would like to have contact after birth as it is my first child and I’m sure there will be questions, but we don’t need help like cooking, cleaning, or laundry.

I am located in Southern California in the Irvine area. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed. He most likely will not be able to be at the birth of our son. Because of that I will be giving birth in Napa California at Queen of the valley hospital. I have tricare and hope to get the doula services covered through my insurance. I am a first time mom so I do not currently have a birth plan per se so I am hoping the doula could help me. I am 24 years old and like I said this is my very first baby so anything helps.

I plan to give birth at a hospital. As a backup, I would like to have a home birth. A home birth was my first option but baby had an arrhythmia which is the reason I chose hospital first at this point. I do have medical insurance to cover my hospital birth. I don’t have a preference on medication or epidural as this is my first pregnancy and I don’t want to commit one way or another

I want to do a water birth. On the cheaper side Birth Plan: Baby & Mom Stay Connected My Birth Philosophy I want my birth experience to be calm, respectful, and centered around keeping my baby and me together as much as safely possible. I value informed consent, gentle care, skin-to-skin bonding, and a peaceful environment. I understand birth can be unpredictable, and my priority is a healthy baby and healthy mother. If interventions become medically necessary, I would like explanations of the benefits, risks, and alternatives before decisions are made whenever possible. ⸻ Labor Preferences ☐ I would like a calm, low-intervention birth environment. ☐ Please ask for my consent before exams, procedures, medications, or interventions. ☐ I prefer minimal vaginal exams unless medically necessary. ☐ I would like freedom to move, change positions, use a birth ball, shower, or tub if available. ☐ I prefer intermittent monitoring when appropriate rather than continuous monitoring unless medically indicated. ☐ I would like my support person involved in helping me stay comfortable and informed. ☐ I prefer natural pain coping methods first: * Breathing techniques * Movement/position changes * Massage/counter pressure * Water therapy * Quiet environment ☐ If pain medication or interventions are recommended, please discuss options with me. ⸻ Water Birth / Hydrotherapy Preferences ☐ I would like access to a labor tub or shower if available. ☐ If I qualify and it is safe, I would like the option of a water birth. ☐ I would like the room kept calm with dim lighting and minimal interruptions when possible. ⸻ Medications & Interventions ☐ I prefer to avoid routine interventions unless medically necessary. ☐ Please discuss before: * Pitocin/oxytocin * Breaking my water * Episiotomy * Assisted delivery * Cesarean section ⸻ Baby’s Arrival My goal is immediate bonding. ☐ Immediate skin-to-skin after birth. ☐ Delay weighing/measuring until after initial bonding when medically appropriate. ☐ Keep baby with me as much as possible (“rooming in”). ☐ Partner/support person may accompany baby if baby needs to leave the room. ☐ I prefer breastfeeding/chestfeeding support before offering supplementation. ☐ I would like help with the first latch when possible. ⸻ Newborn Care Preferences Please discuss newborn procedures with me before they are performed whenever possible. Questions I would like answered: * What is the purpose of each screening? * What are the benefits and risks? * What are the alternatives? * What happens if we delay? Preferences: ☐ I would like to be present for newborn procedures. ☐ I prefer my baby not be separated from me unless medically necessary. ☐ I would like to discuss newborn medications, screenings, and vaccines with my provider and make informed decisions. ⸻ Visitors & Environment ☐ Quiet room with limited visitors. ☐ Only people I personally approve may visit. ☐ Please allow time for bonding before visitors. ☐ My support person is my advocate and should be included in communication. ⸻ If Cesarean Birth Becomes Necessary If a C-section becomes necessary: ☐ I would like my support person present. ☐ I would like skin-to-skin as soon as safely possible. ☐ I would like baby kept with me whenever possible. ☐ I would like gentle/Cesarean options discussed if available. ⸻ My Reminder to My Care Team I appreciate your expertise and want to work together. My goal is a safe birth while protecting the bonding experience between me and my baby. Please communicate with kindness, patience, and respect. Mom’s Signature: ____________________ Date: ____________________ Provider Acknowledgment: ____________________ Pitocin/Oxytocin Preference I decline Pitocin (oxytocin) unless there is a true medical emergency where my life or my baby’s life is at risk. I prefer my labor to progress naturally and do not consent to routine Pitocin use for: * Induction of labor * Speeding up labor * Strengthening contractions * Routine postpartum use without discussion If Pitocin is being considered, I request: * A clear explanation of the medical reason * Risks and benefits explained * Alternatives discussed * Time to ask questions and make an informed decision whenever possible My goal is a physiologic birth with minimal unnecessary intervention while prioritizing safety for both me and my baby.

Someone to advocate for me in the hectic moments of delivery and contractions to help me feel focused and give me knowledgeable insights with methods and positions on how to manage pain during contractions. I have a lot of anxiety going into my second pregnancy after a HORRIBLE experience with my epidural during my stay at Kaiser. The first one didn’t work, and the second one resulted in a spinal headache, and a nurse accidentally gave me too much/extra dosage of the epidural and my legs were pointless and hanging so my mom/husband had to carry them which was even harder to push my 9.7 pound son out. I just want to feel supported and safe.
Home birth. Budget is 5-10k Looking for water birth minimal intervention unless necessary. This will be my second home birth. Prefer someone who has experience with hypnobabies birth
