3rd pregnancy but it’s twins this time so everything feels new. I will deliver at Baylor hospital and we are looking for support especially during postpartum.
plan to give birth at texas health presby in plano. Estimated budget is under $1300. I will be doing c section so birth plan is really scheduling at the hospital. i want someone that has many years of experience. need someone to educate and prepare us on when the baby comes, postpartum care, and lactation.
I think I may have an oversupply or milk coming too fast. I’m concerned with my baby’s gas/reflux situation. He seems uncomfortable after feeds and sometimes during. He seems to still be gaining weight but in the last few days he has spit up with almost every feed. The doctor prescribed reflux medication but I’d like to get to the root cause.
One month old that is currently combo feeding and I think I’m struggling with producing enough milk to fill him up. I would like a virtual consultation and my budget is around $200.
A provider who accepts insurance (BCBS) and can give lactation support early and ongoing. Early meaning within first couple weeks of birth, ongoing meaning up to 3 -4 months. Ideally looking for a total of 3 visits across that time frame. In home would be great, but not required.
Hello, I have a 6 month old baby who I have exclusively breastfed since she was born. We have never had any breastfeeding struggles. She has recently lost weight. We were advised to supplement with formula (add it to my pumped breastmilk). She had a reaction to the formula (she has CMPA). I am trying numerous things to increase my supply before trying a different formula but am not seeing results. I would really like professional help to navigate this challenging time as I would like to continue to give her breastmilk as long as I can.
I have been trying to wean off exclusively pumping because I was getting clogs. As I have attempted to wean I have continued to get clogs and feel as if I’m in a cycle because it is the same few spots. I have been using my hands to unclog and have stopped pumping because it is only a few problem areas but feel like it’s a continuous cycle. I’m not sure what to do but I’m ready to be done.
Planning a hospital birth Budget 1,000-3,99 Because this is an IVF pregnancy, I am looking for a doula who understands the emotional significance of this journey and will provide compassionate, continuous support. I value informed consent and would like all procedures, interventions, and newborn care options explained before decisions are made whenever possible. My goal is a low-intervention birth with freedom to move during labor, use natural comfort measures, minimal cervical checks when appropriate, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin contact, and uninterrupted bonding time after birth. I would prefer to avoid induction solely for convenience or to speed up labor and do not want to feel pressured into a cesarean birth unless it is medically necessary. I would also like time to discuss and make informed decisions regarding newborn procedures and injections, rather than having them performed immediately after birth. Most importantly, I am looking for a calm, knowledgeable, evidence-based doula who will help me feel respected, empowered, and supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
