Elanor Jarque

We cannot recommend Elanor enough. She is an incredible full-time nanny for our family, and has been for the last five years. She handled our first child and then transitioned to handing both when we had our second; she was especially amazing while juggling our newborn and toddler. She is calm, patient, warm, and has never once raised her voice - a quality that has been especially wonderful for our sensitive children. At the same time, she is firm and consistent, sets clear boundaries, and is excellent at discipline in a calm and respectful way. She is incredibly flexible, often staying late or coming early when needed, and even traveled with us on many family vacations, giving us daytime coverage and the opportunity for much needed date nights. She also handles doctor appointments, kids sports/activities, and all the everyday logistics of caring for two young children. She became such a trusted and important part of our family, and we feel incredibly lucky to have her in our children’s lives.

Elanor was our nanny for 4 years, caring for our son starting at 6 months and continuing through the addition of our twin boys. She is wonderful and hard working, honest and sweet. So deeply caring. So flexible and understanding. Her responsibility grew over the years - she knew the rhythm of our house. She was part of the family. She was incredibly reliable, Always giving lots of advance notice before time off. She was very careful and cleanly before Covid and obviously with Covid, incredibly careful. She rarely got the common illnesses over the course of the years. We all miss Elanor and wish her all the best.

We have had the privilege of Elanor being a part of our family the last two years, starting when my daughter was 11 weeks old. My daughter was an incredibly difficult infant with acid reflux and a strong resistance to taking a bottle. Elanor managed to be the only person able to successfully get my daughter to take a bottle multiples times per day while I was at work. In addition my daughter was very difficult to get to nap but Elanor was truly the baby whisperer and somehow got her down successfully every day. Now at nearly two years old my daughter is speaking in full sentences and is ahead of her peers after spending so much time with her. She even manages to get my toddler to eat vegetables daily. Her patience is something I wish I possessed myself. She is punctual, reliable and flexible when we need her to come early or stay late. It saddens us greatly to be losing her everyday and if I were not staying home after #2 is born, she would definitely be staying with us.
