Provide physical support and therapeutic techniques during labor to help ease the delivery process 2. Offer guidance, comfort, and support throughout pregnancy 3. Assist with postpartum care and recovery after childbirth My estimated budget for doula support is $70–$80 per hour (negotiable depending on services offered). My name is Riley Burchell, and I am due to give birth to my first child, a boy, in late May of this year. My husband, Justin and I are planning to do a hospital birth at Jersey City Medical Center, but as first time parents and with no close family in the immediate area, we are interested in engaging a Doula or birthing coach for services to be present during the birth, provide advocacy, and assist in labor, coaching, etc. We are planning for an epidural and vaginal birth, but would like to discuss with someone experienced options regarding epidural timing, gravity techniques during labor, and general best practices that may or may not align with protocol at the hospital. Aside from the epidural, we hope to have a birth that is as natural as possible/with the least medical intervention as possible. Beyond that, we haven’t really thought of much and are not really sure where to start as it relates to other aspects of the birth plan! We don’t really have a budget in mind but heard that 1500 to 3000 was the norm for hospital birthing services.
1. Where do you plan to give birth (home/hospital)? Hospital 2. Provide your estimated budget: Looking to use insurnace 3. Describe your birth plan: Not sure yet - would love a doula's support for this!

I plan to give birth at Staten Island RUMC hospital with my OB GYN Dr. Tubman
Hi, Looking for a doula to help me prepare for childbirth and be present at the birth - hoping for a medicated vagina birth in the hospital (Jersey City Medical center). This is my first child. My husband and I have no family in the country (we’re British from the UK) and so extra support is needed. Would also like support after during the postpartum stage. Unsure on costs for this kind of thing so advice would be great. Thank you
I want to labor privately at home. I’d love to incorporate water into my home birth but it’s not mandatory. What’s most important is my mental health staying calm and focused on my baby. This is my second birth. My son was born 10 years ago, and I carried out a natural labor with him with no complications 🤍 am interested in a midwife for communications via smartphone and labor/birthing help on that special day. Prenatal check up I will use my provider. In the event I must birth at the hospital, I’d like a doula to advocate for me my wants and needs. If I can find someone willing to assist the birth naturally at home then that would be ideal.
1. Overlook Hospital 2. $1900 3. Looking for a doula that will help me advocate my beliefs. We do not wish to have our baby vaccinated at the hospital, we do not want the placenta clamped early, we want a more natural birth.
