I'm a first-time mom and am still learning about my options. My goal is to have a positive, informed, and supported birth experience. I'm interested in having a doula provide emotional support, comfort measures, guidance for my partner and me, and advocacy during labor. I'm open to discussing pain management options and creating a birth plan together as I learn more throughout my pregnancy. I am looking for a very experienced doula who can help my husband and I prepare for a hospital delivery. It is important for me to have someone with a calming presence who can guide my husband and I through the birthing process. I would like to labor on my own for as long as possible before getting an epidural(if needed) so having someone there to help with this would be beneficial.
I am new to the idea of having a doula. I would like to do more preparation work to hopefully have a smoother delivery. My first experience of childbirth, ended in a natural delivery that was forceps assisted, and I had 3+ hours of pushing before we decided between forceps or C section. I had to be induced after 11 days being overdue. I would hope that with this next pregnancy I can go naturally and have way less medications than I had the first time. I want to trust that my body knows what to do, but I need to help train it to achieve my goal. I understand despite some things are out of my control, I can help myself to have a better delivery and post partum outcome. 1. Monmouth Medical Center 2. Unsure, I am looking to see if I have insurance coverage.

Hello, My name is Daja Gilliam, and I'm currently in my third trimester. I'm reaching out because I'm looking for a doula who can provide the support and advocacy I've been missing throughout my pregnancy. Unfortunately, I haven't received the prenatal care I needed for much of my pregnancy due to switching OB-GYNs and dealing with other challenges. As a result, I've often felt dismissed during appointments, and it's been difficult to feel heard or supported by my medical providers. I'm hoping to find a doula who can be a supportive presence during the remainder of my pregnancy, help me prepare for birth, and provide reassurance and advocacy during labor and delivery. Having someone in my corner who will listen, help me ask questions, and support my birth preferences would mean a great deal to me. If you're accepting clients, I'd love to learn more about your services, availability, and how you work with families in situations like mine. Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I look forward to hearing from you. Warmly, Daja Gilliam 201-535-1173
