Emily Kaiser
About me
Emily Kaiser, MSW, RLC, IBCLC is the Owner and Founder of A Mother’s Village, a thriving private lactation practice based in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) — the highest credential in the lactation field — Emily blends advanced clinical expertise with a background in social work and mental health. Her care style is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and deeply compassionate. Families trust Emily for her warm presence, steady reassurance, and ability to make even the most overwhelming feeding challenges feel manageable. Her clinical expertise includes: Functional oral assessments Tongue- and lip-tie evaluation and pre/post-frenectomy care Bottle refusal and complex feeding challenges Low milk supply and oversupply Pumping plans and precise flange fitting Infant oral motor function and oral habilitation Emily has supported thousands of families across South Central Kentucky and beyond, providing in-home, in-office, and virtual lactation care. Emily earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) with a 4.0 GPA before opening her practice in 2020. That foundation shapes her approach today: every consultation centers the parent’s emotional wellbeing just as much as the baby’s feeding needs. She believes feeding support must be holistic, inclusive, judgment-free, and grounded in real-life practicality — because families thrive when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. Outside her clinical skillset, Emily brings something else into her work: lived experience. She has a complex medical history and knows firsthand how discouraging it can feel when the medical system overlooks or dismisses your concerns. That personal journey fuels her unwavering commitment to truly listening, validating, and advocating for the families she serves. Emily is also a real human behind the scrubs and certifications — and her families often say that’s what makes her care so special. She is a proud Swiftie and will happily talk all things Taylor Swift if you let her. Taylor’s music has carried her through the highest highs and hardest lows of life, and continues to fill her cup daily. She’s also a lover of comfy clothes, cozy vibes, and a no-makeup (just skincare!) lifestyle, because caring for babies — and parents — is much easier when you show up as your authentic self. Emily is a respected community leader. She founded the Feed + Nurture Donation & Financial Assistance Program, which provides free and reduced-cost lactation care and feeding supplies to families in need. She serves as a Board Member and Organizer for Bowling Green’s Promise Walk for Preeclampsia, has been recognized as a 2023 Hometown Hero, and was honored as a VIP Bowling Green “40 Under 40” for her leadership and impact in maternal-infant health. In her professional community, Emily serves as the Secretary of the Kentuckiana Lactation Improvement Coalition (KLIC), helping advance lactation support and professional collaboration across the region. She maintains active membership in USLCA, IABLE, and KLIC, and pursues ongoing advanced training, including yearly participation in the GOLD Tongue-Tie Symposium and continuing education in oral function and infant feeding science. Above all, Emily’s mission is simple: to make feeding feel calmer, clearer, and more connected for every family she serves — and to ensure parents feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported every step of the way.

Emily is amazing! She helped breastfeeding feel comfortable and made our family feel supported. She made sure to be available, especially after we had our surgery. She supported us throughout the entire healing process. We will not go to anyone else, we will be using her for any potential future problems and with any other children we have in the future. Go to Emily, you won’t be disappointed!
- Mari Burnette
We worked with Emily for over 2 months, sometimes multiple visits a week! Breastfeeding is very hard as a first time mom and she was more than supportive and helpful. She helped my little one greatly with his oral function pre and post oral tie release. Had we not had her guidance and knowledge the process wouldn’t have been as successful. Highly recommend her for any and all lactation needs!!! You can tell how much she cares about her patients and it shows in every appointment!
- Emma Nash
I cannot say enough good things about Emily! As a first-time mom, she has helped me so much with breastfeeding and given me the confidence and support I needed. She is so kind, patient, and encouraging, and I’m so thankful for everything she has done for me and my baby. I highly recommend her! ❤️
- Lauren Ruby
Emily at a Mother’s Village helped save my breastfeeding journey. Her kindness, support and encouragement have not gone unnoticed. If you have any concerns or just general questions regarding lactation services, feedings or breastfeeding worries, she will always answer your call. My family and I are forever grateful for everything she has done for us.
- Amber King
Emily has been a huge help to our family. My baby boy was decreasing in percentiles and we couldn’t find out why. She helped us find the root cause and he is doing so much better. She helped me with pumping and finding the correct pumps and bottles for my baby. I can’t recommend her help enough!
- Kathryn Coffman
Emily was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to really show me and explain everything, answered all of my questions, and was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. I left feeling much more informed and confident in feeding my newborn. I highly recommend her!
- Kayla Duque
Emily has been an absolute blessing to our family. From helping us navigate our daughter's tongue, lip, and cheek tie journey to getting us the right referrals, she made what felt overwhelming so much easier. Since her revisions, we've already seen improvements in our baby girl's neck tension, and we're so grateful for her guidance, knowledge, and support every step of the way. We can't thank Emily enough and would recommend her to anyone needing lactation support!
- Ashley Coleman
With my first son, I didn’t succeed with breastfeeding because I was young, didn’t have much knowledge, and honestly didn’t have the support or guidance I needed. This time around with my second, everything has been completely different thanks to my lactation consultant. She answered all my questions. I struggled with my latch and she instantly fixed the problem and reaches out to check on me and cares. She helped me finally have a successful breastfeeding journey. I’m beyond thankful for her support and highly recommend her to any mom needing guidance and someone who truly cares.
- Sarah Lynch
Emily is extremely thorough and informative. I really appreciate her attention to detail and desire to provide support to parents and babies. Her home office is spotless and comfortable. If you have any struggles with breastfeeding or pumping at all, I would encourage you to meet with her sooner rather than later, as she has many resources to help.
- Jessie Cooper
Emily is truly phenomenal! I originally started seeing her for help with breastfeeding and pumping, but later made the decision to switch to formula. I had no idea she could continue helping with bottle feeds as well, and I’m so grateful she does…with absolutely zero judgment about my decision to stop breastfeeding, which was such a relief. She has helped identify areas my baby needs to work on and has given me clear guidance and support every step of the way. There have also been a few moments where I’ve panic messaged her with questions, and she has always taken the time to respond whenever she can, which has meant so much to me. I truly cannot recommend Emily enough. We drive about 45 minutes to see her, and honestly, we’d still make the trip if it were twice as far. She has been such a valuable support for our family! 😊
- Carli Day
Emily is AMAZING!! I really wish I went to her sooner! She helped me and my baby find peace of mind. Emily didn’t judge me for what ever route I chose to feed my baby, it felt so good to not receive negative comments on how to parent or feed my child. She was so helpful and gave me insight and guidance as well. I will definitely be going back to her when I have more children in the future.❤️
- Tabitha Furgerson
I absolutely cannot recommend Emily more! After a poor experience working with a different IBCLC, I reached out to Emily as a last ditch effort in sustaining my breastfeeding journey. She saw me immediately and after just one appointment, there was improvement. The week following, my baby ate better than she had in weeks, and I felt confident in my role for the first time. At our next appointment, Emily did a thorough assessment of my daughter and gave me functional movements to do at home. She truly cares about the overall well being of myself and my baby, and I feel it in every interaction with her. She is intentional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I will forever recommend her to anyone wanting to breastfeed! She is the BEST at what she does and will meet you exactly where you are, arms wide open, and ready to help🩷
- Katherine Caldwell
I cannot recommend Emily enough! From the first visit she was kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She made me feel completely comfortable and supported. She took the time to really listen, answer all of my questions, and provide practical, easy-to-follow guidance that truly made a difference. Her encouragement and expertise were exactly what I needed, and I’m so grateful for the care she provided. If you’re looking for someone who is compassionate, supportive, and truly knows their stuff—she is the one!🩷 I really wish I would have seen her with my all of my children. I know my breastfeeding journeys would have been smoother.
- Cassie Allen
I have been working with Emily for almost 4 weeks now and she has been such a big help. She takes the time to listen to concerns and also gives you unbiased answers and is transparent on everything, which I love! She makes every suggestion your decision without the pressure to go 1 way or the other. She has supported and continues to support me and my breastfeeding journey as well as helping with my baby’s oral dysfunction!
- Mckenzie Dennis
Emily has been an endless support system for me and my daughter from the beginning. From addressing ties, recommending products, relieving pain, and getting us where we need to go. . . She has done it all! I have also never doubted her knowledge and have always felt she was highly intelligent in her line of work. I don’t always trust people 100%, but I can honestly say Emily has earned my trust fair and square. Any new mom will receive her as my recommendation. My only regret with her is that I didn’t have her with my son, too.
- Marymargarett Hayes
Emily is so knowledgeable, empathetic and comfortable to be around especially if your like me and feel a bit shy and nervous! She was so helpful and flexible with us as we went from breastfeeding to bottle back to breast (indecisive baby lol). She had action plans with exercises for baby to improve mouth posture, strengthen their tongue to improve a quiver and get a better latch.
- Scarlett Blackwell
Emily is so knowledgeable when it comes to a variety of lactation needs. I am currently working with her on inducing lactation for my baby that is coming home to us via adoption in a few months. Her treatment plans are so thorough and you can tell how much she puts into each appointment by the notes and communication after each session. Highly recommend her!
- Brittney Profgan
Emily was a very kind and helpful lady during our time spent with her. She’s very knowledgeable and was very supportive of any decisions I made. Would definitely recommend!
- Heather
Our experience with Emily has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment I reached out she was very quick work us into her schedule that same week. We went in with multiple of things to work on and have had 15+ in person/ virtual appointments and we have never been made to feel like a bother. My daughter was sent for a tie release and she really took the time to tell me everything to expect and never made me feel pressured to make that decision. Since the procedure she always checks in on her and schedules follow ups which really helps with the anxiety of your child having a procedure done. I would never refer a friend anywhere else, you can tell she truly loves her job, really cares about these babies and the moms too.
- Khloe Johnston
Emily has been an incredible source of support for myself and my newborn. As a first time mom that can feel very overwhelmed I truly feel that she has taken some worries off my plate when it comes to feeding my baby. We were able to work through my issues when it came to pumping and are now working through bottle feeding. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
- Allison Wireman
Emily is so passionate and so very helpful! Highly recommend!!
- Megan Skaggs
Emily has been so helpful to my family—from lactation support to helping us through tongue ties and the release process. She’s always supportive of what I want as a mom and consistently goes above and beyond to be accommodating.
- Autumn Gidcumb
She is so extremely helpful and really educates you every step of the way. Makes sure you understand the why and how instead of just telling you what to do.
- Brittany Cox
Emily has been super helpful in educating and supporting me on this journey! I appreciate how detail-oriented she is and how we not only have in person appointments but also follow up phone calls to see how the care plan is going. I should also add that when I reached out to her initially, she got me in for an appointment the next day. It means a lot to have someone so invested and who goes above and beyond.
- Kaitlin Morris
She is so patient, and definitely wants to help you and baby succeed at breastfeeding, if you are struggling with anything, milk production, no latch. Please reach out to her. I felt uncomfortable with my previous LC and Emily simply puts it into ways you can understand! Thank you Emily, will be seeing you again!!!
- Brandi Holt
Working with Emily Kaiser at A Mother’s Village has been such a positive experience for our family. She helped us work through some minor oral dysfunction with our son and made the whole process feel so much less overwhelming. Emily is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and truly cares about both mom and baby. We saw improvements quickly and felt so encouraged after our visits. I’m very grateful for her guidance and would highly recommend her to any new parent needing feeding support. 💛
- Evelyn Wright
Emily is a phenomenal provider and an even better human. She has been instrumental in both my daughters’ feeding journeys, and I know I would not have been successful breastfeeding without her. She has lead me through issues of oral ties, oversupply, undersupply, and everything in between. She has always addressed all my concerns and validated every emotion I felt along the way. i truly believe that by the end of your care plan, you couldn’t possibly only consider her a provider, but also a friend. I cannot recommend her enough.
- Taylor Berglund
Emily is truly amazing. From the very beginning, I felt seen, heard, and supported in a way that is so rare during such a vulnerable time. Especially as a first time mom. She met me exactly where I was with compassion, openness, and absolutely no judgment. I had been struggling with a lot of guilt surrounding feeding my baby. Rather than pushing one “right” way, she takes the time to understand your anxieties, concerns, and circumstances, and then thoughtfully creates a personalized and realistic plan that meets you where you are. Her knowledge is vast but what really sets her apart is her kindness and empathy. She explains things clearly, offers practical and realistic suggestions, and provides reassurance without minimizing how hard feeding journeys can be. I changed my mind twice about our feeding plan and Emily always reassured me and made me feel heard. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares, listens deeply, and supports you as you navigate your feeding journey- I can’t recommend her highly enough!
- Sadie Poynter
I am beyond grateful for the care, patience, and knowledge Emily has provided. During a time when I felt overwhelmed, emotional, and unsure of myself, she made me feel supported, heard, and confident. She never rushed me, answered every question with kindness, and truly cared about both me and my baby. Because of her guidance, I gained confidence in my breastfeeding journey and felt empowered as a mother. She has really gone above and beyond in providing a safe space for us. This experience meant more to me than words can explain, and I will always be thankful for the impact she has had on us.
- Shania Toral Garcia
I cannot recommend Emily enough. She is incredibly thorough and truly committed to getting to the root of issues rather than offering surface-level advice. She even requested labs to help identify the cause of my low milk supply, which made me feel genuinely heard and supported. She is also working closely with me to address my baby’s latching issues, providing practical guidance and encouragement every step of the way. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and compassion have made such a difference in my journey.
- Nancy Martinez
I began seeing emily to get help with pumping .. I walked in that day not knowing my daughter would be in her care for several months. After discovering many ties in my daughter’s mouth we began doing the rehabilitation as suggested and then moved forward with tongue tie revisions. With the help of Emily - my baby who once cried 23 hours a day (no joke) is now such a happy girl! Emily provides excellent, detailed, skilled and personalized care. Do yourself and your baby a favor and see Emily for feeding issue ︎ ♡︎
- Amber Van Harrison
Emily at a Mothers Village is kind and considerate. She has helped make my breastfeeding goals possible as a working mom by providing a wearable pump.
- Elizabeth Wilson
Emily is honestly the reason I was able to keep breastfeeding my son. She has walked with us through helping him gain weight, coming up with a feasible combo feeding/pumping schedule, a tongue and lip tie release/recovery, etc. We are so grateful for her patience and her expertise. It gives me a lot of peace of mind knowing that we have her support and her guidance to make sure our son is getting what he needs.
- Kaylee Woodard
Our family is so thankful for Emily. She responded to my inquiry right away and squeezed us in the next day! Emily assessed our daughter and guided us through multiple months of feeding and oral issues. Our care was always very professional, educational and customized to our needs. I would absolutely recommended Emily and would use her again in the future!
- Danielle
Emily is amazing! She has helped me navigate breastfeeding with three kids all having different needs and feeding issues. She is very informative and friendly and always worked to meet me where I was at. She was always encouraging and a consistent smiling supportive face through tough times. Couldn’t recommend her more!

Emily Kaiser is one of the kindest people I know. She is professional and has a big heart and compassion for her clients. Emily goes out of her way for mothers in need as well. She would literally give you the shirt off her back. Emily has a passion for mothers and helping them in any way she can. Despite Emily own personal health struggles, she has given her all to her clients always! Emily’s empathy and compassion for mothers and babies is top notch! I would recommend Emily to anyone!
- Penny Webb
After sudden feeding issues with my 1 month old I reached out frantic in the middle of the night hoping for help. To my surprise I got a response within a few hours and was on her schedule for the following day. This first call for help led me to developing a greater understanding of my baby’s unique situation and needs. After having tie revision, Emily helped with recovery and addressing any concerns I had in between weekly appointments. We were discharged after a successful recovery, but I reached back out a few months later for concerns with introducing solid foods. She truly has an abundance of knowledge on everything I needed help with as a first time mom.
- Sarah Hogue
Emily is very dedicated to her work and has a true passion for helping mothers through the most vulnerable part of motherhood.
- Donitka Kay
I’ve never personally been your client, but both during my daughters pregnancy and during my sons, you provided me with the supplies I needed to be successful at breastfeeding. No how much do you make. No do this class or community service. And most importantly, no making me feel like or treating me like a second rate citizen because I needed help. You have always been so incredibly kind and giving to me personally. I often recommend you when anyone asks about an LC, and if I ever have the funds and the need for your services, there’s not another person on planet earth I would rather go to, than you. Emily is one of the kindest most genuine people I’ve ever met, if you need someone who will respect you, support you, be kind to you in those hard moments, and treat you like family always, you could not choose a better person to trust with your journey.
- Ava Noe
Took my twins to her, & she was wonderful. She was so patient and kind. She talked me through everything that she was doing. I definitely will be going back
- Brittany Ryherd

She has been available when I've needed her, and always makes me feel like we are a priority. She has continued to show compassion towards my daughter and myself. I could not have asked for better care. I will recommend Emily to anyone who is in need of a Lactation Consultant.
- Miranda Ramer
Being a first time mom & a twin mom with that comes with a lot of stress and anxiety after pregnancy trying to figure out how & what to say to a pediatrician about my concerns over my baby not eating properly truly made me feel like a bad mom bc I knew in my mind she wasn’t eating & not getting no nutrition 😣 nobody listen to me. When I first contacted emily about my situation she got me in a soon as possible and I truly can’t thank her enough of how much she have helps us through those tough times ✨❤️
- veronica Sandoval
Emily was a complete lifesaver for our family. My daughter was born having lots of difficulty feeding and I was having trouble with milk supply. I saw several providers with no luck to solve our problems. I found A Mother’s Village and we were able to get our daughter the help she needed immediately and began to work towards a happier baby and momma. She went above and beyond to make sure she was available to assist me with any questions . I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a very personal experience in receiving help in lactation, milk supply, or oral function support for babies.
- Hayley Hash
The help my family received from Emily was life changing. Fast communication and observant appointments led to a complete 180° shift for my wife’s nursing journey. Emily was able to diagnose our daughter with several ties which we were referred to have revised due to severity. After the revision, our daughter went from having crying fits, and a pinching latch to a great latch and being extremely happy.
- Ethan Williams
Emily is truly one of a kind. She pours her heart and soul into the lactation community, and it shows in every interaction she has with her clients. Her dedication is unmatched—Emily has made monumental efforts to obtain advanced certifications and complete extensive clinical hours so she can provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based care for breastfeeding mothers. What truly sets Emily apart is the time and intention she gives each client. She thoughtfully develops individualized care plans based on personal goals and what is realistic and sustainable for each family’s unique needs. No one is treated as a “one size fits all.” Emily is the definition of compassion and dedication. As a mother herself, she openly shares the struggles so many women face, with a level of transparency, empathy, and understanding that makes you feel seen, heard, and supported. Her care goes far beyond clinical knowledge—she genuinely walks alongside her clients every step of the way. I cannot recommend Emily highly enough. She is an incredible lactation consultant, advocate, and human being
- Sara Dobbins
Emily helped me find success in one of the deepest, most personal moments of my life. In a time where I felt so vulnerable and afraid, she provided security, knowledge, stability, and empowerment. Not only did she support me in establishing my breastfeeding journey, but we also worked together on transitioning to solids. In the years since, I’ve stayed connected with her because she’s one of the few providers who truly, compassionately cares about mothers. I cannot recommend her enough!
- Kayla Bitner
I am incredibly grateful for the support we received from Emily. My daughter had a lip tie, two cheek ties, and a tongue tie, which caused constant crying fits and made breastfeeding extremely painful for me. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure what to do. She listened to me, took my concerns seriously, and helped us understand what was really going on instead of brushing it off as “normal.” Her guidance, compassion, and knowledge made a huge difference for both me and my baby. Because of her help, feeding became more comfortable and my daughter was finally able to settle and feed more effectively. Emily has always gotten back to me quickly about my concerns.
- Grace Williams
I sent Emily a message in the middle of the night when I was ready to throw in the towel with a newborn who wouldn’t latch without causing me extreme pain. By 6am I had a response and she squeezed me in quickly. She made me feel empowered and got baby to latch way better. She messages to check on things and I really appreciate those check ins even if mom brain gets the better of me and I don’t always respond. I had seen some other LC’s and she’s the first one that acknowledged my struggle and how hard nursing can be. I didn’t feel like I just wasn’t trying hard enough which is how some of the others had made me feel. She helped this mama out in a very desperate time. We’re 5m in and going strong!
- Madeline Ann
She is so informative, hard working, and does everything she can for her clients. You will never find another provider who will work around the clock, caring for you and your little like you are her own. If you have an opportunity to use her services, i highly recommend!
- jessica blome
While I was unable to have Children or need Emily’s Services in that way, she has been a very Empathetic and Compassionate Friend who has helped me navigate my Chronic Illness Challenges and just been an Emotional Support for me so many times throughout the years of knowing her. You will be in amazing hands with Emily and the Care you will receive will be top tier, as she puts her heart and soul into her work, which is more a Calling, that is how much she cares about what she does and you will feel that as one of her Clients!
- MaLora Woods
Emily is both very professional and very personal. She is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I am thankful to have her by my side
- Lindsey Martin
When my youngest went on a “nursing strike” at 4 months old, I was devastated thinking our breastfeeding journey was over. I scheduled a visit with Emily and saw her literally the next day! She gave me such great info and suggestions on how to help. She saved my breastfeeding journey and I nursed and pumped for 10 more months!! Emily is very knowledgeable and who I always recommend to anyone I know that is pregnant or currently having breastfeeding issues!
- Nicole Cline
I was just about at my end of thinking breastfeeding wasn’t going to work for my 10 week old and Emily was my last hope at finding some relief for my very fussy baby. Thankfully she educated me on all things I needed to know about tie releases and how they can help with oral function. My 16 week old is a completely different HAPPY baby and I could not have done it without Emily!
- Grace Johnson
When I had my second daughter, I was worried about not producing enough milk. I met with Emily for a consult, and she was such a blessing. She was professional, knowledgeable, warm, and welcoming. I felt like I was talking to a friend while also talking to a professional who was committed to empowering and helping me. She eased my fears and I walked away feeling much more confident. Emily continued to check in with me to ensure my breastfeeding journey was going well. She always seemed to message me and tell me “I’m proud of you!” when I needed the encouragement the most. I am so grateful for Emily and all the amazing work she does.
- Tiana Sheehan
I had my prenatal consultation and cannot recommend enough! I struggled with my last to breastfeed and I wanted to go ahead and be established just in case. All of my questions were answered and I left feeling so much better! I have another appointment soon since I just had my baby and we are having issues with latching!
- Vanessa & Brad Vinson
Emily was instrumental in my breastfeeding journey with my 3rd daughter. She truly made all the difference in my ability to successfully breastfeed my NICU baby, who spent her first 3 months in the hospital. She was always available via text to support me physically and emotionally. She gave me the courage and knowledge to advocate for my child. I wish I had started seeing her with my first two daughters. Not only is she amazing at what she does, but she also supports our community with a donation program and helps her clients as much as she’s able to.
- Hannah Dickey
Super caring and understanding! Definitely recommend!
- Whitley Young
I had a horrible hospital birth experience with my first child during COVID. I had zero support and the hospital guidance almost ruined my breastfeeding experience. Emily saved our journey and I’m forever grateful. The support she gave me during my first and second child was unmatched. I am beyond thankful for her communication and patience. I can’t sing her praises enough.
- Payton Russell
I wouldn’t have made it in my nursing journey without Emily. With my first baby, I struggled so much, saw a lactation consultant a few times but it just wasn’t helpful. I exclusively pumped and did the best I could. With my second child, I found Emily and she helped me multiple times a week until we had the ties fixed and nursing down. She took my anxiety about it all away and gave me the confidence to keep going because she was knowledgeable, tracked my baby’s growth, and was there.
- Taylor Colvin
Emily’s knowledge and expertise is worth her weight in gold!!!! I went into my appointment feeling discouraged and left with a huge weight off my shoulders. She has an incredible bedside manner and is so intelligent in her field. I am looking forward to continue working with her.
- Lexi Schlinke
Emily helped me more than words can express. I was having the most intense nipple pain. I had horrible cracking and soreness, I even had blisters at one point. It got to the point of almost infection and I knew I needed help. Emily changed everything for me. I have zero issues or pain now and it has become such a beautiful experience. I can’t thank her or recommend her enough!!!!!!
- Sandy Neil
Emily is the best LC in town, her knowledge and compassion for helping mothers has no comparison. I was 3 weeks post partum and my baby wasn’t latching. I met with Emily and she helped me with my babies latch, and helped me with my pumping. Without her help, I would definitely be struggling and probably would’ve switched to formula at this point. I can’t recommend her enough, thank you for all that you do!!
- Heather McQueen-Sauer
I don’t usually leave reviews, but when it involves your newborn, I felt the need to let other Moms and Dads know that there is help. We were struggling as new parents and as a father I couldn’t support my wife through breastfeeding and I knew I needed to find someone. Emily at a Mother’s Village was everything and more that we needed. She listened, no judgement, she met us where we were, she held our hands and created a plan. During the most important time in our life she helped! If you are struggling or just need some reassurance Emily is the place to turn to. I would also encourage other significant partners to be a support as well and make the appointment and attend with them. We couldn’t have made it without her. Thanks Emily!!!
- Kirkpatrick Brad
From messaging Emily on Facebook and booking a consult, I’ve been very pleased with Emily and her services. I’m on my 5th baby, and I think she finally helped me figure out the root cause of my low supply! She listened to me, did an extensive deep dive into my history, and worked with my midwife to order labs. It felt like she was the first person who was actually willing to put in the effort to help me figure it out! I’m truly grateful for Emily and her expertise! I’m excited to see what happens going forward. Don’t second guess yourself - book a consult with Emily and get the answers you deserve! You will NOT be disappointed.

The best of the best! The lactation nurses at the Medical Center left me feeling extremely discouraged and ashamed with my first child in 2022. I knew when I went to have my second child last year that I wanted to take control of my situation and try again. I had so many issues with breastfeeding; my ducts were severed in prior surgery causing issues with production, I also had hormonal imbalances which Emily found in my bloodwork that contributed to my low supply AND my child had ties that caused excessive gas and difficulties latching even onto a bottle. I basically had every issue that would make breastfeeding extremely difficult. I was amazed by the progress we were able to make with Emily’s help. I was able to increase my milk supply to almost a full supply, my child’s latch and gas improved, and even now 8 months later I am still able to nurse with ease despite all of the obstacles. We are forever grateful for Emily helping us meet our goals and making me feel empowered & supported throughout my feeding journey.

With Emily’s help our baby girl is thriving post release of her mouth ties! She was helpful and encouraging through the entire process. I highly recommend her to anyone on their breastfeeding journey!

Emily is so helpful! She responded quickly to my inquiry for an appointment, got me booked as soon as she could, and was very prepared to help. She listened well, asked good questions, and came up with a plan that addressed all my concerns with detailed next steps. Will continue to see her and recommend her!

Emily is truly the best in every way! When I had my first baby in 2020, I was hesitant to reach out for lactation support because of all the uncertainties at the time. Thankfully, she had created a supportive group that helped me navigate my first breastfeeding journey. When I became pregnant with my second child, I knew I wanted her on my “team” from the start. My prenatal appointment with her was incredibly reassuring—she took the time to answer all my questions in detail and made me feel fully prepared. Her visit at the hospital was a lifesaver for my mental state. Even though I had breastfed before, every journey is different, and having her support made all the difference. Once we got home, her in-home visit felt like reconnecting with an old friend. She made me feel comfortable, supported, and confident during such an important transition. Emily has always been just a text or call away, offering guidance, encouragement, and reassurance when I needed it most. Over the past 13 weeks, she has been by my side, helping my newborn and me grow, learn, and gain confidence—not just in breastfeeding, but in mouth exercises and so much more. Beyond her expertise, Emily is one of the kindest, most supportive people I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful for her knowledge, her guidance, and most of all, her friendship. If you’re looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated lactation consultant, I cannot recommend Emily enough!

Emily was the absolute best to work with! I am so thankful for everything she has done for us! When I first came to Emily I had completely gave up on breastfeeding and was in the process of weaning from exclusively pumping. I didn’t think my daughter would ever be able to nurse due to tongue, lip, and cheek ties. But boy I was wrong thankfully! She worked with us through every step from the tie release, to starting solids, and all the way to me weaning from exclusively breasting at 1 yr. She was always just a call or text away no matter what time of day/night it was and always gave 110% to make sure we were taken care of. I will always recommend everyone to Emily because I wouldn’t be where I’m at without her and I will continue to go to her with any future children I may have. She was always very professional but I quickly grew to call her my friend. She is the absolute best!!

Our time with Emily was great! She was able to identify several oral ties on my baby boy and referred us to pediatric dentist to get them resolved. With her services she literally changed our lives!

Emily is very knowledgeable and bends over backwards to get you in! Emily is helping me so much with getting my daughter help with breastfeeding, Emily noticed that she has a high pallette and we are working to help my daughter feed better.

I had my daughter in November 2021. I was worried with latch issues because my first daughter didn’t latch well and I didn’t have the best resources and pumped for well over a year and a half. Emily had no hesitation to drive where we lived and helped me with all my concerns and doubts I had the second go around. We successfully exclusively breastfed for 2 1/2 years….just weaned a couple months ago! So thankful for her knowledge and support in the very beginning. Would recommend her to anyone needing any support or help!!

Emily has been a huge help with frenectomy care. For 3 and a half months our daughter struggled with feeding issues and weight gain. She had 90% of the symptoms of oral ties, but other than saying she "probably had them", no one else seemed to know much about actually helping us. Thank goodness we were referred to her and are now 2 days post release. We couldn't ask for a better or more kind person to help us through this. 100% recommend her to anyone needing help with lactation or feeding concerns.

My journey has not been easy. Tongue tied baby and bad PCOS effecting my milk supply. Emily has been AMAZING. Researching and helping me every step of the way, and advocating for me to get the bloodwork and medical treatments that I needed to help my milk supply and to just feel better living with PCOS hormonal nightmare. I learned more about feeding my baby and felt more heard in the first 20 minutes than I have ever in a doctors office. 10/10 recommended to ANY momma, new or experienced!

Emily is wonderful. I had my first baby in September of 22’ & thought I may lose my mind with him crying what felt like 24/7. We booked a consultation with her when he was just 6 weeks old and she found that he had lip, cheek and tongue ties which caused his belly to hurt due to not being able to latch properly and getting to much gas in his tummy. When the doctors never once looked in his mouth and told me he probably had a dairy allergy to cut out all dairy products ( which was not the case ). We had those ties revised and I mean we are 7.5 months still breast feeding and he’s the happiest healthiest baby weighing 21 pounds!! I’m so thankful we found her and I’ve continued to use her knowledge about starting solid foods! We love Emily! She’s been a absolute life savor and I would recommend her to any mama <3

Emily has been wonderful to work with! We were well on our way to ending our breastfeeding journey and now just a couple months later have made a full and complete turn around. She’s been there day and night to answer any questions or concerns I have had and been very thorough in explaining any and every obstacle we may face before, during, and after our oral tie corrections.

I contacted Emily during my 2nd pregnancy after experiencing a rough time breastfeeding with my first baby which had then led to exclusively pumping. I knew that I did not want to exclusively pump a 2nd time, mainly for my mental health. I told Emily the date of my 2nd c-section and we made a plan for her to be there in time for my 2nd feeding. As soon as she arrived, she was all hands on deck helping my daughter latch correctly. Emily has a gentleness to her that makes you feel completely at ease and comfortable. A few weeks later, she ended up identifying a tongue and lip tie and took care of everything for us so that all we had to do schedule our appointment for a frenectomy. For the weeks after, she was amazing at teaching us the proper stretching techniques. Additionally, she helped me transition my baby to a bottle once a day so that I could return to work and helped me control the overproduction of my milk. Nearly one year later, I am still successfully breastfeeding, which is truly a dream come true for me. I cannot recommend Emily enough for all of her knowledge. But what sets her apart is her patience, empathy, and care of both mother and baby during such a new and delicate time. Highly recommend her for all new mothers and babies!

As a first time mama I took Emily's intro to breastfeeding class, and it helped me so much to know what to expect and what to look out for. She was immensely more helpful than the LC's I had at the hospital. She gave me confidence in feeding my babies and for that I'm very thankful!

We are extremely grateful for all Emily does! She has gone above & beyond for not only our daughter, but also us as first time parents. She helped identify a tongue, lip and 2 cheeks ties when our daughter was 7 weeks old. We are now at 4 months old and moving up on HER growth curve. Emily has been there day & night answering questions, listening to concerns and supporting us as a family through the release of our daughters ties and recovery. Highly recommend!!

Emily is the absolute best at what she does. She’s been so kind to us and is available almost any time you send a panicked message. So thankful for her. Before we went to her our daughter couldn’t take anything from a bottle and she was able to diagnose her ties and create a treatment plan for her. She is an amazing resource for any part of your feeding journey. ♥️
