Dalaney is one of the most helpful providers of any kind that I've ever worked with. She is so compassionate and SO knowledgeable. I had already seen three other lactation consultants including one through our pediatrician when desperate googling led me to Dalaney. I was very nervous to bring another person into our home to meet our then 3 week old newborn, but as cliche as it sounds my only regret is not calling Dalaney sooner. Her warmth, professionalism, and refusal to dismiss the pain I was in were not only validating but immediately put me at ease. She worked with me through numerous ups and downs to create a plan that would keep my supply up while we troubleshooted issues, and eventually was able to solve a problem that all three other LCs missed. And on top of all that, our baby absolutely loves her! I've never written a Google review before but the reviews here convinced me to reach out to Dalaney in the first place and I have to echo what everyone else has said. If you're on the fence at all, or just desperately googling at 3am, I truly can't recommend Dalaney more.

I worked with Dalaney starting when my son was slow to gain weight at 4 weeks old. We were also seeing an LC at our pediatrician, but Dalaney coming to our home was so much easier and comfortable with a brand new baby. Agree with other commenters that Dalaney is indeed godsend, and the BEST LC that I have ever worked with. After my first son was born in 2021, I encountered tremendous challenges with breastfeeding and it was the main cause of my PPD. I consulted with five LCs, multiple pediatricians, and a pediatric ENT specialist. None of them could help me figure out the issue until I found Dalaney through a mom support group. She was able to identify the problem right away, and referred us to a great pediatric dentist to correct the tongue tie/lip tie issue my son had. She also provided very thorough guidance in helping me increase/maintain my supply and training my son to nurse in a correct manner after the procedure. Dalaney is also extremely responsive/helpful via text messages, able to timely answer many of my questions/troubleshoot before/after each visit. With her expertise and help, I was able to nurse my son till he weaned himself off at 13 month old. Right now I'm using her service again for my newborn daughter. She helped me identify the right position to nurse efficiently and guided me to fix my daughter's tongue/lip tie issues right away. I appreciate all the follow up visits, which help give me the reassurance that I'm producing enough to provide for my baby. Breastfeeding is one of the most challenging and rewarding things that I have done so far in my life. Dalaney is a godsend. I worked with her for both of my babies - in 2020 with our first who wasn’t gaining weight quickly enough after a month, and in 2023 with our second to check on her latch. Dalaney is truly amazing! When she came I was 4 days PP and very much struggling with breastfeeding. She helped identify his tongue and lip tie and referred us to a wonderful dentist to help with the release of those. She then supported us every step of the way through the healing process, stretches and exercises to help baby latch, and answering any questions and concerns. She helped diagnose a posterior tongue tie in my daughter that all previous providers said wasn’t there and provided recommendations of the best providers to do the correction for our needs. She got me on a pumping schedule and bottle feeding routine to keep my supply up until we were ready to get back to breast after tongue tie revision. Once we were ready to get back to breast she worked with me to ditch a nipple shield and little girl and I have been going strong ever since. She was my ever present cheerleader and even when I was convinced that we weren’t going to be able to get back to breastfeeding she was confident and encouraging without ever pressuring me. She’s the reason breastfeeding worked for me this time around and baby girl and I wouldn’t be where we are today without her.

Like so many other reviewers, I cannot imagine my breastfeeding journey without Dalaney's support. She has been a crucial part of my first month of motherhood. I likely would have given up/been utterly defeated by breastfeeding without her guidance and encouragement. I cannot overstate how much her support has meant for my own mental health navigating breastfeeding as a new mother. My daughter had a lip and tongue tie procedure her 4th day of life. Dalaney helped us make the decision to get the procedure and provided a recommendation to the pediatric dentist we really were impressed with. She also offered subsequent recommendations to bodywork and PT specialists we have utilized. We have seen improvement in our baby's latch and continue working closely with Dalaney to improve our daughter's ability to transfer milk. Dalaney's compassionate support has given me the resolve to continue working through our breastfeeding challenges. Her company also goes the extra mile to ensure insurance is not a hassle (what new mother has time for that?) and the portal she uses to share appointment information is straightforward. Appointments are not rushed--and she is always available via text for questions. Working with Newday lactation services has been one of the best decisions we could have made as new parents.

Dalaney is wonderful—knowledgeable, compassionate, and such an overall great person to work with and know. My baby was having trouble emptying me out while breastfeeding. I left the hospital feeling deflated, as they made it seem like I was doomed for breastfeeding. Dalaney restored my confidence and continued to help me figure out why my baby’s latch wasn’t strong. I eventually ended my sessions with Dalaney on the understanding that I would pump and bottle-feed my baby with only a few times a day of breastfeeding, as it was getting exhausting to try to keep exclusively breastfeeding with my baby not ever feeling full when she was finished (and then having to pump afterward to get out what she didn’t). Dalaney with newest lactation surely saved our journey ! We have a complicated story so I’ll try keep it brief. My baby had a tongue and lip tie and was unable to transfer milk further complicated by jaundice and low weight gain at first appointment. I met with a hospital lactation consultant who essentially patted my hand , said nursing for me and suggested formula. I met with Dalaney while trying to find a preferred provider to correct babies tie, she guided us to Dr. Marzban with Kingstowne dental. In the mean time Dalaney guided me through a difficult process or triple feeding to ensure baby was getting needed nutrients with expressed milk and supplements all while working to establish my supply. New day lactation has also assisted with my insurance claims! Wonderful. After the procedure baby began to transfer milk well, with Dalaneys assistance and support we were able to wean off supplement bottles and move to EBF! I’ve met other challenges along the way, early return of menstruation has effected my supply. Dalaney again assisted me to formulate a plan and ensure baby is thriving with some tweaks. We’re currently 4 months into our journey, still EBF and certainly couldn’t have done so without Dalaney. We’re forever thankful. Cannot recommend her enough, if you’re committed she is too!

Delaney is amazing! I could tell that my daughter was going to have trouble nursing so I randomly chose New Day Lactation and I made an amazing choice! She came over the day after I made an appointment and did an assessment and discovered that my daughter had a tongue and lip tie. Dalaney is great, I recommend her to anyone that I can. I had no clue how hard breastfeeding was till I had my first son. The lactation consultant at the hospital offered me very little help. By the time he had his first appt with his pediatrician he had lost 10% of his birth weight. His pediatrician said I needed to supplement until I could see their lactation consultant who didn’t have an appt till over a week later. Feeling defeated, and ready to give up and switch to formula. I went to the internet as my last hope and found Dalaney. I called her and explained my situation and she said I should not wait a week and she could come the next day. She was so helpful with showing me how to get a proper latch, providing me with information, exercises, and helping me pump correctly. There was an immediate improvement AND NO MORE PAINFUL FEEDS. Our baby had a good latch but was not getting enough milk, despite long, frequent and painful nursing sessions. Delaney was able to diagnose his tongue tie and help save breastfeeding for our baby. She was so knowledgeable and helpful in explaining his tongue tie and offering advice and resources. We found we trusted her guidance more than our pediatrician because of the time she spent helping us understand his tongue tie and the options for getting it released. It was a lot of work, but Delaney was caring and incredibly supportive throughout. We would not have been able to make breastfeeding work without her support and guidance.

After experiencing challenges nursing my first child, we were nervous about latch and transfer of milk with our second. Delaney helped work with us on his latch and nursing positions while in the hospital and then followed up with home appointments over the next several weeks. Our newborn quickly got the hang of nursing but struggled with the bottle. Delaney provided some helpful exercises, bottle/nipple recommendations and therapy referrals when he still wasn't drinking effectively from the bottle. At 16 weeks, our infant started daycare having made progress with the bottle but not yet drinking. After a week at daycare, I'm happy to share that our little one is drinking well from the bottle and Mama, baby, and family are so grateful for all the help we received from Newday Lactation. I’ve been nursing now for eight months and could not have done so without Dalaney’s calm guidance and expertise. We met with her after several weeks of unsuccessful attempts to breastfeed. My son and I were both growing so frustrated that I was contemplating quitting. I second the reviews submitted. When I called Delaney during my first week home with my son, I was stressed and already forced to supplement due to a bad latch. After one visit with Delaney, I felt much better and we were able to improve the latching issues. Delaney has a wonderful personality and will put you at ease. I can not speak highly enough of Dalaney at Newday Lactation. When I called her I was dealing with a painful latch, engorgement, and a fussy newborn. Dalaney came to our house and spent two hours meticulously checking for tongue tie, assessing my daughter's latch, and doing before and after feeding weight checks. It was only through this detailed assessment that Dalaney realized my baby was having trouble transferring milk from me, but not from a bottle. By asking questions about the birth, she solved the puzzle and recommended the exact outpatient resources I needed. Dalaney is amazingly talented at her job and has the perfect personality for making new moms feel comfortable and confident. She is quick to respond to inquiries, comes to you, and provides a ton of information during her session as well as a written plan, which I personally found incredibly helpful. She will also answer any questions that come up before or after your session as well, and as a new mom you never know what might pop into your head at 3am!!!
