Hi, I’m Jess—a postpartum Ayurvedic doula and mom of two based in the Greater Boston area. I support mothers during pregnancy and the early weeks after birth, helping you prepare for and move through postpartum with intention and care. My approach blends Ayurvedic wisdom with practical, hands-on support—through nourishing meals, restorative postpartum bodywork, herbal care, belly binding and newborn guidance. I believe postpartum should be a time where the mother is deeply cared for. I first trained as a doula in 2009, after the birth of my (much) younger brother. I was inspired by my mother’s experience and wanted to help birthing people own their births and find their confidence as a new parent through the birthing process. I went on to study Maternal and Child Health graduating from Boston University with a Master in Public Health. I have worked in public health policy with the career aim to transform the birthing system in this country. Through both my policy work and my work as a doula - I hope to rectify that birth is not just for women and it is not for women to do alone. There is a need and obligation to provide support for birthing people so that they are not only surviving, but thriving! The word “Alma” means soul or heart across many different languages. Serving pregnant and postpartum families is messy, raw, and vulnerable- I approach this work with humility and respect. At the core of my work is trust and connection with each individual and family unit. I do this work with my whole heart and soul. Birth work is truly soul work for me!

Alondra Matamoros (she/her), a bilingual full-spectrum doula from Queens, NY, received her certification from Bebo Mia Inc. in 2022. With experience as a Doula and Prenatal Coordinator at Community Healthcare Network, she has provided comprehensive support to individuals through prenatal care, birth preparation, postpartum and lactation assistance. Alondra has further enriched her expertise through work with Public Health Solutions, honing her skills in community-centered care. Drawing from her Salvadoran and Dominican roots, Alondra takes a holistic approach, focusing on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit throughout the reproductive and parenting journey. Alondra welcomed her first child in Boston, Massachusetts were she transition into full time doula work.

Pam Rodgers; Postpartum Doula (CPD), Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) Pam is a recent transplant from Philadelphia, and is very excited and eager to continue her doula practice while living full-time on Cape Cod. Pam has been serving clients as a DONA trained and certified postpartum doula since 2015. Pam is also a trained Infant Massage Therapist, an advocate for Poppy Seed Health, and holds a certificate of training in Perinatal Mood Disorders from Postpartum Support International. She is currently training as a Sleep Consultant and hopes to incorporate that into her work with families very soon. Pam approaches her work creatively, developing strategies to support families as they transition and grow in their new roles as parents. She loves the uniqueness of each perinatal experience and strives to participate in a meaningful, educated and sensitive manner. As a mother of three grown daughters, and a grandmother to seven, Pam brings a multi-generational outlook to her work. She has a background in biology, the social sciences, and has worked in the medical and editorial fields. In her free time, Pam is attempting to explore all the Cape has to offer- Hiking, biking, strolling the local farmers’ markets, are keeping her quite busy.
