Hello, I'm LaCrisha, but most people call me Crisha. I was born and raised in St. Louis, and I’m proud to call it my hometown. I’m blessed with a wonderful, supportive husband, five amazing kids, and a few adorable grandchildren. My happiest moments are spent with my family—whether we’re going out to eat, enjoying a good movie together, or dancing the night away. For many years, I found myself in labor and delivery rooms, supporting family members, friends, and even friends of friends. Sometimes, people assumed I was there to translate, but most of the time, I was simply there to help and offer comfort. It became such a natural role for me that people began asking how long I’d been a nurse. Though I’m not a nurse, I realized how much I love helping others during such a monumental time in their lives. Now, as a Certified Doula, I feel incredibly grateful and honored to be part of these intimate and life-changing moments. Meeting new moms-to-be feels like gaining instant family, and I cherish the opportunity to support them as they step into this exciting new chapter of their lives. I have been providing childcare for over 18 years. My experience is with all ages, but I specialize in caring for infants. I have experience with preemies twins/multiples, and infants/children that have special needs. I have provided care as a mother's helper, sitter, nanny(day & night), respite provider, and personal aide. I have assisted with therapies, medication administration, equipment maintenance, and more. I am a mother of two school age girls, an aunt, previous foster mom, and oldest sibling so my experience goes beyond my 18 years of professional caregiving. Currently, I am studying to become a newborn/infant care specialist as well as a Postpartum Doula. Becoming a doula stemmed from a deeply personal journey for me. As a mother of 5, I have personally experienced the highs and lows of childbirth, including heartbreaking miscarriages, and scary pregnancy complications that left me feeling vulnerable and alone. These experiences ignited a spiritual calling within me to support and comfort other mothers during their birthing journeys. I saw the need for a compassionate advocate to stand by their side, providing guidance, emotional support, and a comforting presence throughout the transformative process of bringing new life into the world. Hi, my name is Kasey Tolliver. I’m a mom of two, a doula, and a community health worker. My journey into birth work began after my first child was born by C-section. I struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety, and during that challenging season I found comfort and connection in local moms’ groups. Being surrounded by mothers with similar experiences lit a fire in me—I knew I wanted to support women through these vulnerable, powerful moments. I became a doula to deepen my knowledge of childbirth and to better serve families. After completing my certification, I went on to achieve a successful, non-medicated VBAC with my second child—an experience that strengthened my confidence and reinforced my belief in the power and resilience of birthing women.
