6 days old with a shallow latch and painful feeds for the most part. Seen by pediatrician and thought to have a tongue tie. Just really trying to get a good deep latch to prevent painful feeds.

This will be my second home water birth. I plan to have my baby naturally and unmedicated. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.

I’m looking for help with increasing my milk supply. I’m 5 weeks pp and noticing somewhat of a dip in my supply. My babies needs are increasing, so I want to provide for her. I am exclusively pumping. I would like a consultant that is in Fairfax, va and covered by BCBS. My budget is $250 or less for the appointment. I have a spectra and eufy breast pump. While in the hospital, I noticed the Medela yielded more output. I’m not sure if my flange size is correct for both pumps. Any help would be appreciated!

First baby, hospital birth at Georgetown. Would like to labor naturally as long as possible but I am not totally against pain relief. Would love a doula who can support me in different positioning, hip squeezes etc and help me exercise my full agency during birth. It’s important to me to find someone who is a blend of holistic care and Western medicine. We’d also love for our doula to help us a bit after birth with postpartum and newborn care. Tri-Care East (Humana military) will cover the six hours worth of visits + one untimed visit for birth so we need someone who is a participant with them. After that our budget for postpartum/newborn support is $1,000 but we are open to discussing that further.

I tried to breastfeed my last child but she absolutely wouldn’t latch. I think I have flat nipples so she wouldn’t latch without a nipple shield that was too painful to use. I tried to pump but never had any milk output, I don’t even think I had colostrum. I don’t know if I was just doing it wrong or if I just didn’t have any milk. Because I don’t know what I was doing wrong, I don’t know how to do it right this time round. I think I need a prenatal appnt to figure out how to size everything right, methods, nipple healing when it hurts too much, tools and products to use. I don’t even know how much milk I should be able to get out in the first weeks or how to store and make use of pumped milk because I never got the chance to learn it. I’d like someone experienced and gentle. I don’t do well with blunt, tough love, especially postpartum. Lower budget would be nice but I don’t have much idea of what a consultant costs

I’m looking to hire a midwife or a doula or both! If I am able to find a midwife then I’d really like to do a home birth but if that ends up not being an option I would like to hire a doula for a hospital birth. My budget is $2500 but I am flexible and am looking to see if insurance will cover. I have WV Medicaid. I’m looking to have a natural birth with no interventions, and have a doula or midwife that will support and help make that happen. No age requirements, would prefer someone who has had at least one baby but if not that’s ok too! I’m a 21 year old married, first time mom! No special needs or requirements. Someone with knowledge on breastfeeding would be great as well!

I have a 11 week old that is having trouble with a weak latch ok the breast and weak oral function. She’s had a tongue tie release at 5 weeks. I also have low milk supply and have tried it all to try to increase it. I would like to still give breastfeeding and pumping a shot as long as I’m able to, with hopes of improving her latch.
