I’m a Salem-based doula supporting birth and the early postpartum weeks. I believe the best outcomes come from families who understand their options and feel calm enough to use them. I’m non-judgmental and believe you should feel supported in the choices you make. During labor I offer hands-on comfort and emotional support. I'm certified THW and OHP enrolled.
I work with families from late pregnancy through the early postpartum weeks. Before birth, we meet for two prenatal visits to talk through your preferences, your options, and what to expect at your hospital, and you can reach me by text with questions in between. From 38 weeks I’m on call for you, and I come when labor is underway and stay until you are settled with your baby. During labor I offer hands-on comfort, help with positioning, and support for your partner. After birth I follow up with a home visit to check in, answer questions, and help with feeding and recovery. I support hospital births, including cesarean, and I have a backup doula in place, so you are covered if I am ever unavailable.

Georgia was a calming light and presence during my entire journey. During my pregnancy, she educated me on the different options we could take, we had excellent and open conversations. She prepared a birth plan that suited my needs and checked in regularly to see how I was doing. During my birth, she was present and supportive throughout the entire labour which was around 23 hours. It was hard at times, but she was available when I needed support, but also gave me the graceful space when I needed. She was a wise presence providing timely suggestions during my labour. Through all the rotations of all the nurses and midwives, she was a constant support I and my husband needed. She is well-informed, caring, supportive and I highly recommend her as your Doula! Georgia McClorey has been a lifesaver, not only to me but to my son. Georgia provided a huge reassuring energy and support system during my PPD. I would question myself, but she made sure to always bring light into my darkness. She has always made sure l was heard, and understood my worries. Very respectful and non-judgmental. She has also provided a calm, patient, and understanding attitude towards my two-year old. She made time to make him feel safe and comfortable.
