Hello and welcome! My name is Nathalie Munro, I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I trained as a Nurse, specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing and in more recent years, working with post partum families within the hospital setting. Over my 23 year career, I have been fortunate enough to have worked in the UK, New Zealand and Canada, finally settling in beautiful British Columbia. I am based in North Vancouver, married, and have two rambunctious boys aged 5 and 8. Having been through the incredible breastfeeding journey myself, (though at times its has been like more of a rollercoaster!) I have an understanding of the challenges you may be facing as new or seasoned parents with your feeding journey. Remember that when we are told 'It comes naturally', this doesn't always mean, 'it comes easily!' That's the hard truth and something I can definitely relate to. ​ Over the years, I have supported hundreds of families discover the joys of breast feeding. Through my work with newborn and premature infants, I realized how vital this education is not just in those precious first days, but in the many subsequent months ahead.
