We had an amazing experience with Takiesha - she was so helpful in listening to our birth plan/desires, providing guidance, educational materials, advice as we navigated our journey in becoming first-time parents. We couldn’t have done it without her! She was a great advocate for us and helpful as we had to make decisions at the hospital. She has a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience that helped us in so many ways. I would absolutely work with her again and highly recommend her!

Working with Sally helped me to have the birth I wanted! I knew I wanted to try for an unmedicated birth, but was open to an epidural if needed, and Sally was supportive of both plans. She had great advice throughout my pregnancy and was a true hero on delivery day! She accompanied my husband and I to the hospital and was amazing at communicating with our nurses and doctors which took a lot of pressure off of me and my husband so that we could just be present in the moment. She used a variety of strategies to keep me as comfortable as possible during labor --the counterpressure and massage was a game changer during contractions! After baby was born she followed up with us several times to make sure breastfeeding and everything was going well. We would definitely recommend getting a doula, specifically Sally, to anyone who is on the fence about hiring someone to support their birth!

We worked with Kira to deliver our second baby and it was a fantastic experience from the start! She was easy to schedule a call with and after chatting for 10-15 minutes, I knew she'd be a great fit. Scheduling and communication made it easy to plan and she quickly became someone we could trust! We most appreciated her ability to listen well, take what we say/want, and help us go in that direction. We always felt supported in our decisions and the birth experience we desired! Kira clearly loves what she does and you will be in good hands if you are able to work with her.

Hi, I’m England, founder of Womb + Root Wellness. 🌿 I’m a mother of three, full spectrum doula, lactation consultant, herbalist, and Reiki Master. My journey into birth work started long before I became a mother. I found myself naturally supporting and advocating for other mothers, while also navigating my own reproductive health journey. For years, I struggled with endometriosis without a diagnosis. As a Black woman, I experienced firsthand what it feels like to have your pain dismissed, your health overlooked, and your voice unheard within the healthcare system. I also watched the women closest to me including my mother and sister experience traumatic births and a lack of the care, information, and respect for autonomy they deserved. When I became pregnant and had my own children, I became my own doula. I learned how powerful it is to understand your body, know your rights, trust your intuition, and have someone in your corner. Those experiences became my purpose. I created Womb + Root Wellness to be part of the change—especially within Black and Brown birthing communities. My work is rooted in education, advocacy, holistic care, nourishment, and empowerment, helping mothers feel informed, respected, supported, and heard throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond. Your body. Your birth. Your voice. Your autonomy. 🤎🌿

I wish I could do it all over again. The girl is a POWERHOUSE! Between her advocacy, her supportive and nurturing demeanor and the education she supplied me I never felt more confident to give birth. The energy she brings when working with her makes everything feel like a breeze. I didn’t have to worry about a thing because she made sure that I was well prepared and had everything I needed! She meal prepped for me and my family, helped me extremely in postpartum with all my kids when I felt like things were getting off track and I made it to one year of breast feeding exclusively because of her and her patience with me. She’s a gem truly

Hello, my name is Kayla, and I am a full-time doula proudly serving families throughout Indiana and surrounding communities. Born and raised in Indianapolis, I am also a mother of four beautiful children who have inspired my passion for birth work and maternal support. My journey to becoming a doula was deeply personal. After experiencing trauma during three of my own births, I realized how important compassionate, informed, and empowering support truly is during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I chose to turn my pain into purpose by helping other mothers feel seen, heard, educated, and supported throughout their birthing journey. As a doula, my mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and empowering experience for every family I serve. I believe every mother deserves respectful care, emotional support, and an advocate by her side. Having kayla as my doula has truly been one of the best decisions during my pregnancy journey. She has been incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, supportive, and caring every single step of the way. During such an emotional and important time in my life, she has made me feel genuinely cared for, heard, and at peace. One thing I appreciate most is how she never tries to overshadow my wants or opinions. She always makes my choices, comfort, and birth preferences the priority while still guiding and educating me with so much patience and compassion. That balance is so important when choosing a doula, and she does it beautifully. Kayla presence alone brings reassurance, comfort, and confidence, and I truly cannot imagine going through this journey without her support. I would recommend her to any expecting mother looking for someone who will advocate for them, support them, and truly care from the heart. 💕

We are so grateful to have Bianca as our doula! Being new parents, we had lots of questions about the labor process and trying to figure out what our options were to have the labor we wanted. Even though things did not go according to plan, Bianca helped me with adjusting my mindset throughout the entirety of labor and comforting me. This helped keep tension low and focus on the goal of getting our girl here safely. Would Definitely recommend Bianca to anyone needing an extra support person or just not sure where to start!

Jordan was my doula for the birth of my second and third babies, and I just wish she had been there for my first birth, too! My labor with my second child was incredibly intense and painful, and I remember the way the atmosphere changed the moment that Jordan entered the room. She holds herself with an assured confidence and exudes warmth, empathy, and strength under pressure. She is deeply empathetic, is in tune with a mother’s needs during labor, and is not afraid to step in an be a firm advocate when needed. She is THE ONE you want on your birthing team. After having her for the birth of our second baby, my husband said we will never have a baby without her present with us, and I feel the same! From labor prep, birth, and even postpartum support, if you are looking for the kindest soul who is still a force to be reconned with as an advocate, Rooted Passage will absolutely exceed your expectations during the most sacred experience of your life.
