I have been a nurse for 20+ years. As a nurse I have seen the impact that doulas have on maternal and infant health. For that reason I also became a doula. I am certified in reiki, TENS unit application, and water birth. I am also studying herbalism, aromatherapy, and acupressure. I believe that all mothers should have access to all holistic services related to birth. I am certified through DONA International. I would love to be your doula!

Stacie was my doula for the birth of my 3rd child. She still needed a certification birth so I reached out to her and signed up with her to be my doula. My partner and I were very nervous about allowing someone in our home due to a past tragedy in our town. A doula in our town several years ago killed a woman and stole her baby. Due to this we were very nervous. Stacie eased our concerns right away by presenting in a very professional manor. She was extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding,  and postpartum.  She was also able to provide references, actual certifications, and professional organization details. Because of this, our anxiety disappeared.  She was there for 3 prenatal visits, the birth, and a postpartum visit. She was very supportive through the whole process.  I did end up needing to be induced, and got an epidural, but she was still very helpful. She provided great support from the moment we all arrived at the hospital to about 2 hours after the birth. I would highly recommend Stacie (Holistic Expectations) to be a doula. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.  I would use her again.

Hello, I am Lydia. I am married to my husband, Michael, and have two daughters, Lilyana and Shirley. I currently live and grew up near Ava, MO. I chose to work as a birth doula because I believe every woman should be in control of her labor and birth experience. While I know birth can be unpredictable, it's important to have a plan in mind and someone to be on your side to help you with your plan. I believe in having open communication about your wants and needs for labor and birth. In the event labor does not go according to the primary plan, I still want the mothers I serve to be in control of decision making and have the most satisfying birth possible for any situation.

As a Doula I have the privilege of witnessing the miracle of life unfold before my eyes. I’m constantly in awe of the strength and resilience of the women I support, and I feel honored to be part of their journey into motherhood. There is nothing quite like the feeling of helping a woman feel empowered and confident as she brings her baby into the world. Whether it’s providing physical comfort measures, emotional reassurance, or informational support, I love being able to make a positive impact on someone’s birth experience. From the moment I meet a client I am dedicated to helping her achieve the birth she deserves. I love watching the bond between a mother and her partner grow stronger as they prepare to meet their baby, and in the midst of the chaos and beauty of labor, I am constantly inspired by the courage and determination of the women I support. Being a Doula is not just a job it’s a calling it’s a chance to make a real difference in someone’s life and to be a part of a moment that will be etched in their memory forever I feel grateful and I’m humbled every time I get to be a part of this journey, and I can’t Imagine a more rewarding career.
