Getting the extra sleep really helped me enjoy my postpartum experience rather than survive it! ABC has been super flexible and even with little notice would find someone to help me when I decided I wanted extra help on days we didn't initially schedule. Highly recommend!

She was our postpartum doula during the first weeks of our son’s life, and hiring her was one of the best decisions we made as new parents. Vickey quickly became more than our doula. We had two postpartum doulas, Zoe came during the days and Stephanie was our night doula. Being first time parents Zoe was extremely helpful for us. Annie Miller was our birth doula, and I couldn’t recommend her enough. Our labor and delivery didn’t go exactly to plan, but Annie helped us feel informed and empowered to make decisions. She was also a giant advocate for us and our birth plan and helped us navigate what would have been a confusing and stressful hospital encounter. As the person giving birth, she was the best. She helped our nurse hold my legs and worked through my contractions with me. She even kept my husband calm and explained what was happening when things got scary and the nurses didn’t have time to tell him what was happening. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our night nanny/doula Bridgette. She began working with our family when both of our children were just days old, providing overnight care during the newborn stage, and the support she gave us during that time was truly invaluable. Not only was she incredible with both babies, but she was also a huge help with breastfeeding—offering thoughtful guidance, helpful recommendations, and so much encouragement during those early weeks. She is calm, intuitive, and unbelievably capable. She always seemed to know exactly what to do, often before we even had to ask. Beyond being amazing with the babies, she kept everything tidy and organized, which made those exhausting newborn days so much easier. What speaks volumes is that we loved her so much that we never stopped working with her. She is still our babysitter today and now cares for our 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. Our children absolutely adore her, and so do we. The trust we have in her is immense—we feel completely comfortable leaving our kids in her care, even when we travel out of the country. As an added bonus, she is an incredible cook and has prepared some amazing meals for our family while always being mindful of our children’s dietary restrictions. She has become such a special part of our family, and we truly think the world of her. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her care for their children.

My first few weeks postpartum would not be as great as it is without Vickey helping us overnight ! Vickey gave us multiple tips and helpful suggestions throughout the entire time, as first time parents this was super helpful. She paid close attention to our baby and would provide updates after each night on when the baby woke up, fed, and had a diaper change. Vickey was flexible to our preferred schedule when moving around days and timeframes which was very much appreciated. We hired Eliana for both of our births, and choosing her the second time was an easy decision. With our first baby, we were first-time parents hoping for an unmedicated birth, but we ultimately needed an induction. For our second birth, avoiding induction was very important to us. We followed her guidance throughout pregnancy and were able to avoid it. That meant so much to us. During labor, she reduced fear even in the scarier moments. Her calm, steady presence was grounding. That alignment brought an added level of comfort and trust during such a vulnerable time. We are so grateful for Eliana and would absolutely hire her again.

While we didn't find her through Austin Birth Company, we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found her. Not only was she calm, attentive, and deeply experienced with newborn care, she's also an exceptional French cook! She had a wonderful way of putting both baby and parents at ease, helping us get much-needed rest during those early weeks. Her knowledge and intuition around infant sleep and feeding were invaluable, and we always felt our baby was in the best possible hands. She was also available for some day shifts, which include meal prep, and actually taught me how to make the most amazing coq au vin. Any family would count themselves lucky to work with Bridgette.

We just finished our contract with ABC and had a great experience working with them. It was so nice to have a one stop shop for all the pregnancy/newborn classes + a birth doula + postpartum support. The classes were small enough to create a safe space where I felt comfortable asking any and all questions that I could think of. I felt well educated going into birth and about as prepared as we could be for a newborn (you can’t really prepare anyone for the noises a newborn will make!$ For our birth, our planned doula was sick, but the team at ABC helped us to find a replacement at 4 AM when I went into labor. Kelsey was fantastic leading up to birth and Annie was great at she hospital! Annie helped to create calm space and to help me process and digest all of the things that were happening. Having a doula made the birth experience so much more calming. Lastly, for our postpartum support, ABC connected us with Grace who was an absolute rockstar. Grace started supporting us when our baby was just 3 days old and we are so so thankful for everything she helped us with. From fielding all my newborn questions to offering fantastic hands on support for breastfeeding, Grace always showed up 100%. Our transition into parenthood has been incredible thanks to everything Grace did for us. She was also great with our dog and kitties which took away a lot of stress!

We hired Bridgette as a night nanny when our son was 4-10 months old. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat if we hadn’t moved out of state. He was a high-needs sleeper and she came to the rescue, patiently—and gently—sleep training him over the course of our six months together. He’s now 5 and still sleeps through literally anything! She’s also an incredible cook. Bridgette made delicious, nourishing, from-scratch meals for us, navigating my dietary restrictions (gf/df/egg-free) without batting an eye. Ultimately she went above and beyond in her role. She saw and supported me as I navigated that difficult season as a new mama with ongoing breastfeeding issues during a pandemic. The classes i took at ABC were so insightful as a first time parent preparing for childbirth and after. My partner also felt a lot more prepared to support me after attending the Partner Prep class. Kelsey was our birth doula and she was such a calm and reassuring presence during labor and delivery. During the final weeks of pregnancy, when my OB practice was increasingly pressuring me to induce, Joni helped me walk through every decision with clarity and confidence. She never pushed an agenda, she simply gave me the truth, space to process it, and full support in trusting my body. When labor finally began, Kelsey was the steady, grounding presence I needed. She spoke with me on the phone as things intensified and then joined me in person during the most active labor—first at home, and later at the hospital. I’m someone who really doesn’t feel comfortable in a hospital setting, and the staff there made me feel anything but supported, but Kelsey helped me stay present in my body and focused on my breath, not their expectations. There were several moments when I truly doubted whether I could follow through with the birth I had envisioned—no IV, no epidural, and limited fetal monitoring—but with Kelsey’s unwavering support, I did it. I arrived at the hospital 10 cm dilated, ready to push, and delivered my healthy baby girl almost within the hour. I’m endlessly grateful to Brandee, Joni, and Kelsey for helping me have the empowered, unmedicated birth I hoped for. If you’re considering working with Austin Birth Company—do it. We loved our experience with Austin Birth Company! We had both a birth doula (Alexis) & post partum nighttime doula (Joy) who helped us prepare and adjust to life with our new little one. We are so happy with our experiences with both Joy & Alexis and could not recommend either of them more!! Birth experience - Alexis was amazing! We opted for a medicated birth and Alexis talked me through the entire thing well before it was birth day. She was extremely knowledgeable about my options. When my water broke at 1am, Alexis met us at the hospital immediately & helped set the mood of the room with essential oils, quotes & music as well as guided me through different exercises to get my labor going. She was also there to reassure me and cheer me on through the entire process when my anxiety crept in. Having someone in our hospital room who was knowledgeable about what was happening and keep us in a positive mindset was so invaluable for us! I loved my birth experience & no doubt have Alexis to thank for that. I originally wasn’t sure if I should hire a doula for my medicated hospital birth but now I cannot stop recommending to everyone! Nighttime Doula - Joy helped us 3 times a week for the first 4 weeks after our baby’s arrival. The extra hours of sleep with her reliable hands helped us ease into parenthood during a very overwhelming transition. She taught us her expert swaddling technique & our dogs were equally obsessed with her. She also was super vested in how our little one was adjusting and so incredibly understanding when we had to adjust a day due to an ER visit - she shared lots of great tips & checked in on our little one after her doctor appointments. We’re going to miss our nights with Joy but could not be more grateful to have had her help!! She is the absolute best!

We chose Austin Birth Company for our night doula out of other competitors and it was an impressive experience from start to finish. As soon as I inquired, I was called back by Brandee. When I needed to change the hours/days, Constance was so helpful, The entire admin team was top notch and I highly recommend! Now on to our doula, Joy. Joy is the absolute best, and exceeded our expectations. It's hard to put into words how awesome she is. On her first night, I had an unexpected readmission to the hospital, and my husband was home alone with the baby, and she came in and immediately helped him. Love my experience so far! Communication is immediate and very helpful. I got help the next week after inquiring (post partum nanny support) which was amazing because I was already burnt out. We used Austin Birth Company for both a birth doula as well as postpartum doulas after they were recommended by a friend. It was truly such a positive experience - both were worth truly every penny (and honestly more). Our birth doula was phenomenal - she radiated calm and warm energy. Her coaching and the conversations pre-birth made my husband and I feel prepared pre-delivery. Her support during labor (with many texts/calls) and delivery helped make the experience so positive and magical (I had a lot of trepidation before hand). I also think we owe some of our very smooth delivery process to our doulas coaching as I was able to labor at home for longer as well as she was there at every step of the process preparing me for what is coming next and any decisions I needed to make. Our two postpartum doulas who came at night were absolutely god sends. They were so helpful in giving tips on newborn care, breastfeeding, and sleep as well as truly made those first few weeks so much better. They were an amazing support system and truly cared for and loved on our little one. As new parents, having them also really helped alleviate new/first parent anxiety, and allowed us to get significantly more rest (which also helped us be better parents during the day!) knowing our little one was in good hands at night. As an added (and unexpected) bonus, I also felt so cared for and seen by the doulas as I recovered from delivery and figured out breastfeeding. The transition to parenthood is such a major one and truly having the support of the doulas at Austin Birth Company made that transition incredibly special and positive.

I didn’t think I’d need a doula so I wasn’t even planning to get one, but because I was committed to an unmedicated birth my midwife convinced me to talk to some. She recommended a few places, including Austin Birth Company, and I’m so glad she did because as it turned out, I definitely needed a doula. I landed on Joni at ABC. When I met with Joni for the first time, I could sense how great of a human being she is. I was amazed at how knowledgeable and passionate she was about physiological birth. Having Joni present during my birth was pivotal in the success of having my baby with no epidural. Since day one she was always just a text or call away. From the minute I got to the hospital until two hours after my baby was born (a total of more than 12 hours) she was with me, encouraging me and holding my hand. Laura was knowledgeable in all things sleep and had experience raising multiple kids. Raquel was our day time post partum doula and she taught me tips and tricks for caring for baby - from bathing, play time, carriers, cradle cap, you name it. She was my companion during the day when I felt isolated, a bit lost, and tired. She helped instill confidence in my abilities to care for baby. We had four weeks of daytime and nighttime doula support through ABC. Our day doula was Eden, and our night doula was Kim. We can't speak highly enough of either of them! Eden was super knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We hit it off with her right away, and felt super comfortable with her around our baby. Over the course of the four weeks with Eden we gained so much knowledge and useful tips that have proven to be extremely helpful as we progress with our son! Our night doula Kim was also incredible. She was so sweet, nice, and caring. She was wonderful around our son and took great care of him each night she was with him. I am SOOOOOO beyond happy that I hired a doula for my first birth. For anyone on the fence about doing so, just do it- it makes a world of difference. I had a home birth after cesarean on 2/2/2024 - 2/3/2024. My doula team and midwife team made my dream home birth a reality. The prenatal visits with Doula Joni were informative as well as entertaining. Joni even gave me two sitz bath concoctions. We couldn't have imagined our labor without Kelsey!! Same for the tens unit helped me get through the contractions before the epidural kicked in. I don't know what I would've done without BOTH of them! I didn't know what a huge difference it would make. Kelsey has great energy and is easy to be around! The meetings before labor are very thorough and we learned so much that we had no clue as first time parents. She showed up and was there before we even asked her to be. She stayed by my side the entire night pulling a fun all nighter. The hormones and medications were causing me to shake all night and Kelsey stayed attentive by my side, putting her hand on me to apply pressure to help alleviate the shaking... all night and kept me calm. She would also make sure to rotate me side to side since I had the epidural. This allowed me to get rest as well as my husband which was a HUGE help to us. This also took a lot of pressure off my husband who didn't think we needed a doula but was SO GLAD to have one. If I was anxious or concerned, she would ease my fears reassuring me everything was normal and fine. We are so grateful to have had Kelsey as our doula and highly recommend if you are wondering if you need a doula or on the fence. The support, help and peace of mind are priceless at such a crucial time.

I was terrified going into birth and I could not be more proud and happy with how it went! I wanted an unmedicated birth and was able to achieve that with both Joni and my husbands support. Without her, I don't think it would have been such a peaceful birth.

Austin birth company was such an incredible experience from the very first time I reached out. Brandee immediately hopped on the phone with me and was so helpful with information and recommendations. She connected me with my amazing birth doula, Kelsey. My husband and I have no family in Texas and this was our first baby so I knew I wanted that extra support and it was the best move I could have made. Kelsey was incredible and got me through a very difficult birth experience with such grace, love & support. Brandee then set me up with Lisa as my overnight doula and Lisa was another extraordinary support. I am an extremely anxious mom (right from birth, my baby had a clavicle fracture) so I was very nervous about having anyone else handle her. I felt comfortable and confident with Lisa right away. She helped me so much the first night we got home and those first few weeks. Her help made such a significant difference in my recovery and she helped me with breastfeeding, teaching me how to use my pump and figure out a schedule and she even brought things to my attention that I wouldn’t have noticed. She answered so many of my questions, she took care of my baby while I got to sleep. She is still the only person I would let watch my baby without me present. Brandee also connected me with an amazing lactation consultant and I am still breastfeeding 5 months later and loving every second of it. My experience would have been so different without this incredible group of women. I am so grateful for the whole team at ABC.
