Katharine began serving birth clients in Los Angeles in 2009. She relocated to Jacksonville in 2022 to be close to family. She holds lifetime certification with Carriage House Birth. She offers in-person or virtual doula support, childbirth education classes, placenta encapsulation, and prenatal/postpartum consultations. Katharine is passionate about informed consent, education, and protecting sacred birth space. She supports people of ALL identities and family structures. Katharine encourages her clients to be open, flexible and well-informed, and to trust their instinctual knowledge of their babies and their bodies. Placenta Encapsulation

We offer placenta encapsulation for families who feel called to explore the potential benefits of this traditional practice. Many people choose encapsulation for the reported boost in energy, mood support, and nourishment during the postpartum period. We provide safe, thoughtful preparation of your placenta into easy-to-take capsules, giving you a simple way to honor and integrate your birth experience as you transition into new parenthood. 275.00 including pickup & delivery to zip codes within 25 miles of 32224 or 32084 (over 25 miles incurs additional $25 travel fee).

Doula support

Offering day-of or full doula support packages, including an option of doula partnership which includes childbirth ed and maternity photos. Range is 1700 for day-of to 3200, depending on services desired.

What to expect

I offer both in person and virtual doula services including consultations, childbirth education, placenta encapsulation, and labor support. I support ALL birth choices and all family structures. I attend births in hospitals, birth centers and homebirth. I support medicated, unmedicated and surgical birth options. Let me start by saying, I had no idea I even needed a doula until I met Katharine! I truly cannot define her job for you. I just don't have the words. What I do know is, Katharine listened to what I needed, took care of me and saw me through until the very end. Pregnancy and labor are both passage ways to becoming something beyond your current self. For this life transition, you're going to want Katharine! Katharine's overall presence and guidance throughout my entire pregnancy was infinitely the best thing for me, my fiancé and my baby girl! I wish she was still in LA because i’d get pregnant right now to have her with me. We love you, mama. You are everything and more!
