Hi there! My name is Emani, and I’m excited you came across my profile! I am a recent graduate from the naturopathic medical school here in Portland, NUNM, with my doctorate in naturopathic medicine and certification in natural childbirth. During my schooling, I had the privilege of attending over 10 births assisting a naturopathic midwife. Most of these births were home births, and a few of them were hospital transfers where I would go with the family and medical team and act more as a doula. I have completed my training with Doula School International where we learned effective positions for labor, soothing techniques to manage pain, as well as the intersectionality of birth and how to assist clients who may be struggling with their mental health.
