In that moment, I learned that staying calm, taking a deep breath, and having someone beside you can change everything. Since then, I’ve carried that feeling with me. I love listening, encouraging, making tea, holding a baby so a mom can rest, or simply sitting quietly when that’s what’s needed. Families often tell me that they feel calm around me, and that’s the greatest compliment I could ever receive.
