Hi there! As a certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, I offer daytime and overnight support to help families transition into parenthood confidently. I have undergone extensive training, including CPR/first aid/AED, Infant Safe Sleep, Adequate Intake, Basics of Lactation, Infant Mental Health, and Infant Sleep Conditioning. I am currently studying to become an IBCLC which will further enhance my ability to support new parents on their chest/breastfeeding journey. I consider myself gentle, attentive, professional and supportive. I strive to provide the highest quality care by viewing every child (and family) as unique and adjusting my care accordingly, based on baby's needs and parent preferences.

To Whom It May Concern, We wholeheartedly recommend Megan McLaughlin as a Newborn Care Specialist. Megan was with us for 12 hours a night, for 12 weeks, starting the night we came home from the hospital with our newborn. As the saying goes, it takes a village, and we are grateful that Megan was part of ours. As first-time parents, we were especially grateful for Megan's knowledge and experience. From swaddling techniques to bottle expiration, we learned from her gentle guidance. Megan's expertise was invaluable in helping us establish a routine and gain confidence in our new roles. Megan's duties included cleaning and sanitizing bottles, pacifiers, and pump parts, preparing and feeding bottles, handling baby's laundry, changing diapers, and organizing the nursery. She performed these responsibilities with the love and care we would hope for from a family member. Her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach ensured that everything was in perfect order, allowing us to focus on bonding with our baby. Beyond her technical skills, Megan's warmth and compassion made a significant impact on our family. We truly looked forward to seeing her every day. Her calm and reassuring presence provided us with much-needed support during a time of transition and adjustment. She not only took excellent care of our daughter but also helped us navigate the challenges of new parenthood with ease and confidence. Megan's dedication and professionalism were evident in every aspect of her work. She was always punctual, reliable, and respectful of our home and routines. Her ability to anticipate our needs and offer solutions before we even realized we needed them was a testament to her experience and commitment to excellence. In summary, Megan McLaughlin played a crucial role in our early days of parenthood. Her professional skills, combined with her compassionate approach, made a significant difference in our lives. We are deeply grateful for her support and cannot recommend her highly enough to any family in need of a Newborn Care Specialist. She is an exceptional individual who will undoubtedly bring the same level of care and dedication to any family she works with.

Greetings! My name is Christine Scarlett. I am a former pediatric nurse and now a certified birth, sibling, and postpartum doula. I am also a Certified Perinatal Patient Advocate, a Certified Lactation Counselor, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and Gift Registry Advocate. Perhaps my best credential is being the mother of seven adult children and grandmother of many. I have had one cesarean, six VBAC’s, and sadly, one miscarriage. My personal experiences run the gamut of hospital, home, and waterbirth. I have many years of breastfeeding experience and do volunteer work in that field. I homeschooled for many years and still teach in a co-op one morning per week. Other specialties include cloth diapering, babywearing, healthy cooking, and even just laundry services. Contact me for a free interview to see if I can help you meet your unique goals.

We hired Chris for our second baby. I did close to zero preparation for my first birth, and I ended up doing whatever the hospital staff suggested. It turned into a pretty traumatic birth experience for myself and my husband. We knew we wanted our second birth to be different. I had heard several great testimonials from friends who had hired Chris as their doula, and we are so happy we hired her ourselves. Chris supported us through switching providers and hospitals more than halfway through the pregnancy, provided countless resources on how to prepare my mind and body for a natural hospital birth, and was a huge advocate during the birth process itself. Although my birth did not turn out the way I had hoped for, the process of getting there was a million times better than my first experience. Chris was also a huge support during a very challenging postpartum period, gave us contacts for multiple IBCLCs, and checked in on us every now and then to make sure we had the resources and support we needed. I would highly recommend her for anyone considering!

Hello! I am a Christian Mother of 5, Nurse, Birth and Postpartum Doula and Childbirth Educator. I have had the honor and privilege of helping others on this journey into motherhood. This is not a privilege that I take lightly. I want every parent to know that their voice matters and help them to actualize the strength they have within. I am CPR and NRP certified, BSN prepared Nurse, worked in Labor and Delivery as a nurse for over 10 years, taken Spinning Babies course, assisted in both home and hospital births, taken advanced vbac skills courses, Advanced fetal monitor training, among much more. I would love to be your doula and if you think we would be a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Aris is an absolutely incredible doula. I recently gave birth to my first child and can honestly say that having Aris at my birth made what would have otherwise been a pretty traumatic experience, a very calm and empowering one. My birth plan had to pretty much go out the window due to unpredictable events during labor, and Aris was with me every step of the way, helping me feel like I was still in control when everything seemed like it was crumbling. She helped me reframe things in ways that my brain could understand at the time, and for that I am so grateful! She also advocated for me at multiple points to keep whatever aspects of my birth plan could still be safely implemented. She constantly anticipated my needs during the labor process and never once seemed tired despite staying up with us all throughout the night. She was also amazing at physically supporting me during labor with various counter-pressure and distracting sensation techniques. She taught my husband what to do as well, but honestly she was 1000x better at it and was so much stronger than him lol! My husband and I are both physicians who are relatively educated about the birth process, but she is truly a labor and delivery expert and taught us so much. Her experience as a labor and delivery nurse as well as a mother of five children makes her extremely qualified for this role. I cannot think of anyone I would recommend more if you are looking for a doula. If you are considering having a doula support you during your pregnancy/birth/postpartum, choose Aris -- you won't regret it! It was truly the best decision we made for my birth.
