Motherhood has been one of my greatest teachers, and every birth story I carry my own and the ones I’m honored to witness has shaped the way I serve families. I welcomed my first child in a hospital setting. While I’m grateful for that experience, it also opened my eyes to how unprepared and disconnected many women can feel during birth. After that birth, and through the heartache of several miscarriages, I spent a lot of time praying asking the Lord to show me my purpose and how He wanted to use my story. In His perfect timing, God answered a lifelong prayer. After the home birth of my second son, everything became clear.
