Hi! I’m Marie. I am a Mother, Photographer, Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, Certified Breastfeeding Counselor & Childbirth educator. My passion lies in the deep-rooted belief that there is an extreme need for birthing families to be thoroughly supported throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. After learning firsthand the immense value of having a doula, as well as a solid understanding and education of pregnancy and childbirth during my own experiences, I was inspired to help new families gain the confidence, comfort, and peace of mind that having the guidance of a doula can provide. I bring the experience of being a nanny for almost 20 years, a special education and early childhood educator in Montessori, as well as being a photographer for 20+ years. I am also trained in Positive Discipline. The skills I have gained by providing these services for others are crucial to the work I do as a doula. By working with many amazing families throughout the years, I have learned how to anticipate the needs of others and make myself available to them accordingly, which directly relates to my nurturing personality. I believe this is vital for a doula to possess. My clients rely on my peaceful, compassionate, loving, supportive nature to help them feel empowered, informed, and ready for this beautiful new journey. I currently reside in my hometown of Tucson, AZ after living in San Diego for 20 years. On my time off you can find me enjoying my time with my family, hiking, camping, working in the garden or just about anything that gets me outside and enjoying this beautiful planet we live on.

Hello friends! I have been doula-ing the Pacific Northwest since 2010 and am excited to bring my services to Tucson. As someone who has attended over 600 births, 56 post partum families and is a mother myself, I understand that every birth and family is unique and needs should be tailored to my clients personal goals. As a birth and postpartum doula trained in Ayurvedic traditions, I like to bring a holistic approach to my caregiving. Not only do my clients receive education around health and wellness in pregnancy, belly mapping for labor moves and partner centered coping techniques, they also get the pamper they deserve in post partum with massage and various broths for healing.

In the heart of Tucson, Mackenzie has been a guiding light for families embarking on the transformative journey of childbirth since 2019. Her path to becoming a full spectrum doula and postpartum placenta specialist is woven with threads of compassion and a diverse tapestry of experiences. Mackenzie's journey began in the realm of childcare, where she honed her nurturing skills as a babysitter and nanny. Her ability to create a safe and loving environment for children caught the attention of a special family in Tucson. Little did she know, this connection would set the stage for her evolution into a remarkable labor doula. As fate would have it, the family for whom Mackenzie had worked as a nanny found themselves expecting their second child. Remembering Mackenzie's exceptional care for their firstborn, the family not only welcomed the idea of her returning but also suggested the concept of doula support for the impending birth. Recognizing Mackenzie's unique talent for providing emotional support and guidance, they saw in her the makings of an extraordinary doula. Empowered by the trust and encouragement of this family, Mackenzie embraced the doula path with open arms. She delved into extensive training, eager to expand her knowledge and expertise. The transition from nanny to full spectrum doula felt natural for Mackenzie, who had already cultivated a deep understanding of the intricacies of family dynamics and the nuances of caring for newborns. Her background in group homes, experience as a camp counselor, and years spent as a preschool teacher provided Mackenzie with a holistic perspective that she now brings to her doula practice. Her journey from early childhood education to supporting families through the childbirth process allows Mackenzie to offer a unique blend of emotional support, education, and unwavering care. Since 2019, Mackenzie has actively served the Tucson community as a dedicated and compassionate doula. Her commitment to guiding families through the beautiful, challenging, and sacred moments of childbirth has made her an invaluable presence in the lives of those she touches. As a full spectrum doula and postpartum placenta specialist, Mackenzie continues to ensure that each family she supports feels empowered, nurtured, and well-prepared for their unique journey into parenthood.

Hello! My name is Jamilia or Mila, and I am a Birth and Postpartum Doula with a deep-rooted passion for supporting families through the sacred seasons of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I’ve been a birth doula for 9 years and a postpartum doula for 5 years, and my journey began at just 20 years old when I was called to my very first birth while still in training. With no prior experience, I leaned into instinct—and I’ve been following that intuition ever since. Over the years, I’ve supported families through all types of births—hospital births, home births, VBACs, and C-sections. I also hold certifications as a holistic sleep specialist, which allows me to support parents with gentle, responsive sleep solutions that align with their values and their baby’s needs. When I’m not supporting families in person, I’m supporting them online through the Forpartum app—my labor of love, which I created and founded to revolutionize postpartum wellness. My approach is heart-centered and grounded in connection. I believe in building trust early, often beginning support around 20 weeks, and I strive to offer a nurturing, judgment-free space where every parent feels seen, safe, and supported. When I’m not holding space for others, you can find me enjoying quiet moments with my child and husband, diving deep into postpartum wellness research, graphic designing, dancing, hiking, building up Forpartum, or spending time in nature.

My journey to becoming a doula began when I was present for my niece’s birth in 2008. I was deeply moved and in awe of the process of birth. In 2018, I attended my first Doula training and went on to certify as a Full Spectrum Doula in 2020. I began my work as a birth doula, volunteering for a community organization in Austin. In 2023, I moved to Seattle where I focused exclusively on providing postpartum care. I worked as a postpartum doula through an agency, Seattle Doulas, and then worked for Swedish Hospital Doula Program. I have now relocated to Tucson, Arizona. It’s a privilege for me to be a part of this transformative time in families lives. I am deeply grateful to each family that has welcomed me into their homes and their postpartum experience!
