A trailblazer and advocate for women’s health and wellness, Dr. Alicia C. Baker has made it her mission to cultivate safe spaces for growing families and bridge the gaps in healthcare education for patients and clients alike. In 2011 Dr. Baker earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory University. In 2016, she acquired her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Dayton. After years of practice as a pelvic floor therapist, Dr. Baker took a leap of faith and changed the way she does PT. She went mobile, with a special target for pelvic floor patients. With multiple requests for birth assistance from patients, she became a certified Doula backed by experience supporting new mothers with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, geriatric pregnancy, and VBAC. As “The Doula PT”, Dr. Alicia actively engages within her community to guide women in ways to live and birth with confidence through pelvic floor therapy and birth support. Her goal is to empower her patients and clients by bringing light to the ways to improve health outcomes and heal their bodies.

Deep Roots Doulas was founded in 2015 ! After my third baby was born using a Doula I quickly realized I wanted to be able to serve women and families the same way my doula did for me. We strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment for all expectant families! We honor your wishes while hold space for you in such vulnerable moments of your life. Hello there, I’m Lucy Weidig. I’m a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, and newborn care specialist, devoted to serving women physically, emotionally, and physically throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. I was born and raised in Michigan then relocated to Northern Kentucky in 2017. Besides being a doula, I love to learn about health, read fiction, go hiking, and do anything and everything with my amazing husband. Becoming a doula was never in my plans, but I have a passion for reproduction, babies, and all things women’s health which inspired me to take a doula training with ToLabor, an organization in Richmond, Virginia. My Christian Faith plays a huge role in who I am as a person as well as a doula, and I love incorporating this into the birth field. I can’t get enough of the amazing knowledge and potential around supporting and educating women in and around birth! I dream of experiencing birth for myself and raising my own family, hopefully within the next couple of years. Meanwhile I hope to support as many women as possible through this powerful, beautiful work!

I'm a Christian DONA International doula, serving families in the SW Ohio area. I am a mother of five children, I have had home births, natural hospital birth, and medicated births. I have also assisted as a doula at homebirths. I have spent years collecting information and resources regarding birth, nutrition, and how best to support healing after birth.
