Shanaee was an excellent post partum doula. She supported our family after the birth of our third son helping to take care of the baby so we could spend some time with our older two. She was kind, trustworthy, easy to work with, and she took excellent care of our son. We were grateful to have her !

Gabby is amazing! Truly, she answered every question I had, supported our postpartum journey, explained everything throughly, had brilliant insight, talked through everything with me, and helped my little guy sleep in 4+ hour stretches every time! I have to brag on how wonderful Gabrielle Wachter is as a very supportive hands on doula. My husband and I were approaching the birth of our firstborn son, and our original birth plan was not going as planned, and she stepped in and helped out more than words can say. It was also very reassuring to know that she believed the same beliefs that we do. And having such a Powerful believing woman is so helpful when unforeseen circumstances happen during labor. My husband and I are forever grateful she was right there with us. Leading up to the birth, during labor and even some postpartum visits.  I loved working with Megan. She helped care for our now 4 month old second child Rowan recently for about 2 months. She was kind as well as very helpful and always asking what she could do to make things easier. She was a great listening ear for all the things baby, birth, and beyond. She mostly helped us with infant care, bottle and pump part washing, laundry, and making snacks, like muffins. The resources she shared with me as print outs I kept on our fridge because they were so helpful. She also had recommendations for other providers, like a pelvic floor therapist. I honestly felt like I was having a friend or family come hang out and watch the family after a visit or two. All in all, highly recommend working with her! I don't have any complaints, truly. I will only say I wish I had hired her sooner, knowing what I know now. It was vital for me having someone who cared about my mental health just as much as my new baby, especially this second time around. Highly recommend working with her!

We have used Kemba for our two babies. She was amazing. We found her to be very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. She makes you feel safe. Her prenatal classes are very detailed. During labor, she is very hands on. She makes sure you feel comfortable despite the pain. I highly recommend her.

I had the pleasure of working with Kate and her mother Margie during the labor and delivery of my daughter. Kate was my Doula and her mother was my birth photographer. They make one amazing duo! I had planned on a home water birth and unfortunately after 30 hours of unmedicated labor at home it turned into a hospital transfer and then an emergency cesarian surgery. Kate and her mother stayed in contact with me throughout the day when I knew I was in early labor and then got to my home promptly after she received the call that things were quickly progressing. Kate was so knowledgeable on different comfort measures for me during my labor. She was compassionate and extremely supportive during the whole entire experience! She even sent me a lot of information prior to my daughters arrival regarding helpful tips, body positioning and things I could do prior to early labor and through out to help me during every stage. Her mother is so kind, empathetic and takes beautiful pictures! I will cherish the moments she captured for our family forever. Margie even came to the hospital with us and stayed at the hospital not knowing if she would or would not be able to come back in to our room in order to take pictures after my surgery. *Update* Elisha is also very nice as I've been able to just vent to her without any judgment at all and she listens to me with open ears and lets me get it out and is a great shoulder to lean on when you're going through something and will give you great advice and will tell you what you NEED to hear. Her Reiki healing has helped me to balance my chakras and become grounded.

From the moment we met Heather, she felt like a member of our family. She was instrumental in helping us achieve a beautiful labor and birth, advocating for my preferences, managing pain, and guiding me through various positions to facilitate progress in labor. In the weeks leading up to the birth, Heather dedicated several hours to preparing my partner and me. She encouraged us to consider different scenarios, practiced Spinning Babies techniques with us, and discussed my labor preferences in detail. Thanks to her calming expertise, we approached the experience without anxiety, confident in Heather’s support. When I faced a complication after delivery, Heather remained by our side throughout. She guided my partner in supporting me and advocated to keep our baby with me at all times—something I believe greatly contributed to the positive outcome of our situation. After we were discharged, Heather visited us at home and provided invaluable practical support that we hadn’t received at the hospital. She helped with swaddling, bottle feeding, soothing a fussy baby, and even advised us on some essential overnight Amazon purchases. During this time, Heather also assisted us in navigating and processing the trauma we experienced, validating our complex feelings and helping us appreciate the beauty of our birth. Kortny provided the most gentle, respectful, yet empowering, doula support. She is a huge advocate for mom and baby. I have become a true advocate for doula support for my friends and family members and within the community thanks to the support I received during my pregnancy and postpartum journey. I am always happy to share my story because Kortny is a huge reason why our beautiful daughter made it here safely, naturally, and the way we planned together.  My boyfriend and I's relationship began with Kortny in the first trimester. She provided advice on setting up a birth plan, exercises to stretch my growing body, a breakdown of what's to come over the rest of our pregnancy and information on how she would support us in the postpartum phase. She taught my boyfriend various techniques to support me in and out of bed, as my belly grew and pulled on my every being, when contractions began and throughout my labor. He was honestly my secondary doula/midwife. He was more than prepared to handle every phase of labor when the time came. She truly encouraged and empowered him to bring his child down the birthing canal and provide his girlfriend with the utmost support and as I transitioned into the active labor portion and pushed.  Throughout each trimester, Kortny was a call away for any questions/concerns we had from each appointment with our OB. She advocated for me in more instances than I truly expected. I also appreciated her encouraging me to stand on decisions we discussed for the birth plan and in real time as they came up. Our daughter was due November 22, 2022. Our OB advised an induction if she did not come by Thanksgiving weekend. I shared with Kortny that I did not want an induction because I was nervous about any drugs I would be given to induce my labor. I wanted to experience my watering breaking, rushing to the hospital in excitement, packing the car - all those dreamy, movie-like things. By chance, or God's grace - I ended up having contractions the early morning of my set induction date, November 30, 2022.  I immediately texted Kortny to share what I saw in the bathroom in coordination with my timed contractions. It was time FOR REAL this time. No induction needed. Just breathing, lots of snacking and funny shows to carry me through. I labored at home for 16 hours. The hospital was ten minutes away leaving room for me to labor comfortably at home until I felt that we needed to go. When that moment came, Kortny quickly arrived at the hospital to support me through the remaining portion of my labor. She continued to advocate for me when nurses got pushy. She continued to advocate for my request for a natural birth when the OB on call stated that my blood pressure was close to determining an unnecessary C-section. She encouraged me to ask for pain medicine if I felt it was needed. We had our safe word but, we never needed it. With the team in motion, I waded my way through to the end. She provided the kind of support that was like a fly on the wall ninja style. While Kortny was there the entire way, I felt so empowered in my own actions beyond my own understanding so much so that I accomplished the goals we set at the very beginning of this journey.  The same care was provided in the postpartum phase. We discussed all of the necessary standardized questions but Kortny went the extra mile asking me about our living space and how that affected us as new parents and explained how those feelings trickled down to how supported we felt in caring for our child. She held space for both my boyfriend and I that we didn't know we needed. I love that Kortny included my boyfriend in every aspect because men aren't normally provided that support and space. His understanding of what was happening every step of the way mattered to me and she articulated it so beautifully for what we both needed throughout this experience. It was truly the most spiritual connection and experience I have ever endured. As we prepare to celebrate one year as parents to the beautiful one in the pictures below, I highly recommend Kortny Feurtado for any role with your organization. She is made for this role 10000%!
