Hi, I’m Meggie. My desire to become a doula began with my own birth experience. After an uncommunicative, uninformed, and frightening first delivery, I knew that if I was going to grow my family, my next birth needed to be completely different. I dove into educating and advocating for myself, and learned all about comfort measures. I carried those lessons into my second delivery. During that birth, I felt empowered and confident. Thank you so much for stopping by! My journey to birth work began in 2017, following the birth of my first baby. I have been a fully certified childbirth educator and doula since 2018. Additionally, I recently obtained my Certified Breastfeeding Specialist certificate (CBS) from Lactation Education Resources in October 2025. Prior to getting into birth work, I attended Notre Dame of Maryland University, where I studied biology and graduated with high honors. I have since become a mother of 2. Both of my children were born without intervention and at home. When not working, I can be found reading for pleasure, exercising, doing yoga, hiking, or gardening. I would describe myself as a dedicated and passionate birth and postpartum doula with a background in student midwifery and student nursing. With a calling in my heart from a young age, my journey began when I attended Washington Adventist University to study BS nursing in 2013. During my studies, I discovered a missionary school that offered a doula certificate program and Midwifery course, which sparked my interest and led me to pursue my true passion.
