Hi, I'm Chloe! I am a mom to two beautiful children and a Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula through Stillbirthday. In my free time, you'll find me reading, baking, or taking care of our little homestead. I have dreamed of being a mom since I was a child. I knew for a very long time that it was a calling; I discovered doulas and thought, "I would love to do that." I decided I wanted to Start my birthworker journey, when my unmedicated natural birth turned into a emergency C-section. Even though, I had labored at a birth center with 2 midwives. The decides to transfer me after several days of prodromal labor. My experience at the hospital was very traumatic, and left me unaware and sad. I didn’t have anyone to talk to about my experience. But my doula encouraged me to talk about it. I realized I wanted to be for other pregnant women and make a difference in how we care for pregnant women during and after their pregnancy. I want to help teach other mamas and partners to speak up and advocate for yourself no matter what the issue is! No one can make you do anything you don’t want to your own body or your babies body.

My journey into birth work began with my own two births — each one different, each one teaching me something profound about the power of support, advocacy, and feeling truly seen. Those experiences lit a fire in me that led me to become a birth doula in 2018, where I have had the privilege of serving families through the DC Birth Doula community. I am also a Lamaze-trained Childbirth Educator, currently in the process of recertification, and I teach childbirth education, newborn care, and infant feeding to help families feel informed and confident as they step into parenthood.
