Nikiya is a mother, a doula , a forever student and an urban farmer. As a Mother and a Birthworker, She see the importance of giving all birthing people a fair chance at the birth they desire. She has a long history in birth work that includes attending over 200 births over the last 9 years. That work now includes travel to Mother health international a birth center in Uganda. Along with teaching and training community doulas

As a birth and postpartum doula, I offer comprehensive services designed to support families during one of life’s most transformative experiences. My approach includes personalized in-person sessions that prepare you for labor and delivery, along with monthly group prenatal sessions to foster community and shared knowledge. During labor, I provide continuous physical and emotional support to help you navigate the process with confidence and comfort. After the birth, I offer postpartum support to assist you in adjusting to life with your newborn, ensuring you feel supported and empowered every step of the way. My goal is to provide you with evidence-based practices that enhance your birthing experience and help you thrive as a new parent.

Nikiya was my student midwife, and when my labor plans changed, my doula. She comes with so much knowledge and passion that it's comforting to the people around her. You can tell that she has done, and continues to do the work of staying current with the things happening surrounding maternal health. She is well connected due to her work all over Richmond, and is well known and respected by the birth community. For all of my pregnancy related needs, there isn't anyone else I would go to! Definitely top tier!
