Hi, I'm Heather Arauz, founder of My Mamas Doula and proud mama of six amazing children. Each birth was a beautifully different journey that has ultimately led me to my purpose as a doula and aspiring midwife. My passion for birth work stems from a deeply personal space. My six births: • Non-emergency cesarean section • Medicated VBAC at the hospital • Natural VBAC at the hospital • Natural VBAC at the hospital with a midwife • Natural VBAC at a birthing center with a midwife and doula • Natural VBAC homebirth with a midwife and doula From a c-section to a natural VBAC homebirth, I know firsthand how different and how powerful every birth can be. I know the courage it takes to choose a VBAC, to trust your body, and to advocate for yourself in a system that doesn't always make it easy. I am also a postpartum depression survivor. I understand the complexity of the weeks and months after birth. I will never minimize what you are feeling. You will always be seen and supported without judgment. My personal mission: Mother the mother, one mama at a time. When a woman feels held, informed, and truly cared for, she will find her own strength. I am here simply to remind you of the power you naturally possess and empower the voice inside you to be your biggest advocate for your body and your baby.

Hiring Heather was the best decision we made. The moment we met Heather I knew she was the perfect fit. She is passionate for what she does, extremely well-educated, experienced, loving and professional very punctual. I can always rely on her. I felt comfortable and calm I was able to rest, recover and receive support . She organized the baby’s clothes, prep things out for me, gave me some great recipes to produce milk and also surprised me and would make some for me when I would wake up. She made my favorite oatmeal for breakfast. She was very attentive to my newborn baby , I appreciated her detail of how the night went. She anticipated my needs before I knew I had them. She is amazing !! I’m forever grateful for her, I don’t know what I would have done without her. If you’re looking for a Doula HIRE Heather she brings a wealth of knowledge and will put you at ease .

As a postpartum doula, I am dedicated to supporting families through the critical transition that follows birth. I view the postpartum period as a time that deserves intentional care, where both parent and child benefit from consistent guidance, reassurance, and practical assistance. My role is to provide evidence based support in areas such as infant feeding, soothing strategies, rest, and family adjustment, while also ensuring that parents feel heard, respected, and empowered in their choices. With a background in early childhood education, I bring a solid understanding of child development alongside a deep commitment to family well-being. My philosophy is rooted in holistic care; recognizing the physical, emotional, and relational needs of each family member. I believe that when parents are supported with compassion and knowledge, they are better able to thrive, bond with their baby, and step into their role with confidence. It is an honor to walk alongside families during this meaningful and transformative season.

"I can not recommend Jenn (Destiny Doula) enough! After having a c-section with my first born I was determined to have a vbac for my second pregnancy and wanted extra support to ensure that my wishes were heard! I started searching for a doula and after chatting with Jenn on the phone I knew she was a perfect fit. I was concerned for my husband when it came time for labor and delivery wanted to be sure that he was also taken care of so I could remain as calm as possible! Jenn is a saint, she listens and understands to what you’re wanting and she knew what to do to help me through labor when I didn’t even know what I needed. I still remember the calming smell of the essential oil she had misting in my room, the dimming of the lights and quieting the beeping machines. She’s like a Mary Poppins; she rolls in with everything needed and is so reassuring without stepping over your wishes at anytime. After 12 hours and vomiting through labor she was there to welcome our baby girl all while documenting it through pictures that I didn’t even realize were being taken. I cannot thank her enough for empowering me and helping me have the birthing experience I desired.

We are incredibly grateful to have had Rosangela as our doula during our baby’s first month of life. From day one, she was punctual, reliable, and—most importantly—exceptionally caring with our newborn. Rosangela supported us for four weeks and was flexible with her schedule, even accommodating our request for a later start. When her assignment with us was coming to an end, she went above and beyond by helping us find a second doula to ensure continuity of care as well as training that doula to ensure no disruption. Even after rolling off, she has continued to check in with us, offering guidance and thoughtful support, which has meant so much during the postpartum period. During her time with us, Rosangela supported night feedings by gently waking both mom and baby, assisted with latching, burped the baby, and handled diaper changes throughout feeds. She supported our baby’s first bath, helped with baby laundry, and took care of all breast pump setup and cleanup—assembling parts, washing them, and making sure everything was ready for the next pumping session. These details made an enormous difference during those early, exhausting weeks. She consistently offered helpful advice and reassurance, always in a respectful way that made us feel supported rather than directed. Rosangela brought a calm, nurturing presence into our home, and we truly felt that our baby was in loving, experienced and capable hands. We wholeheartedly recommend Rosangela to any family looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dependable doula. She was an invaluable part of our postpartum journey.

Hi there! 🤍 Thank you so much for visiting my profile! I’d love to share a little about myself, what led me to birth work, and how I hope to support you and your family through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. As a doula, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and free to make the choices that are right for you and your family. I believe birth is deeply personal, and there is no single “right” way to experience it. Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, considering pain management options, preparing for a cesarean, or still figuring out what feels right for you, you deserve compassionate, judgment-free support every step of the way. I’m here to offer evidence-based information, gentle education, encouragement, and hands-on support while helping you feel confident in your own voice and decisions. My role isn’t to tell you how your birth should look, but to help you feel informed, respected, and cared for throughout the process. I am trained through DONA International and have additional training in childbirth education and breastfeeding support. I’m passionate about helping families feel prepared not only for birth, but also for the transition into parenthood and those tender early postpartum days. Whether you need help navigating your options, reassurance during an overwhelming moment, support with feeding, or simply someone in your corner, I want you to feel that you don’t have to navigate this season alone. My journey into birth work began with my own experience becoming a mother. After the birth of my first daughter, I realized just how unprepared I had felt for labor and delivery. Looking back, I often felt like things were happening to me rather than feeling empowered to make informed decisions based on evidence, my preferences, and my maternal instincts. During my second pregnancy, I knew I wanted a different experience. I immersed myself in research, explored evidence-based birth practices, and became intentional about the kind of experience I wanted for myself and my baby. That journey changed the way I viewed birth and opened my eyes to how much of a difference feeling informed, heard, and supported can make. I knew I wanted to help other families experience that same sense of confidence and empowerment. I would love to connect with you! Whether you know exactly what kind of support you’re looking for or are just beginning to explore your options, you are welcome here. I’d love to learn more about you, your hopes for this season, and how I can best support you and your family. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey! 🤍

As a first-time dad, I wasn’t totally sure what a doula did—I just knew I wanted my wife to feel supported during labor. What I didn’t expect was how much I would benefit from having her there, too. From the moment we hired Janée, she made both of us feel informed, confident, and ready. She took the time to educate us on the stages of labor, comfort techniques, and what to expect in the hospital. By the time my wife went into labor, I actually felt prepared instead of overwhelmed. During the birth, she was absolutely incredible. She supported my wife emotionally and physically, but she also guided me on how to support her better—whether it was suggesting positions, showing me how to apply counter-pressure, or reassuring me when things got intense. I never once felt useless or in the way. Instead, I felt like an active part of the process, which meant everything to me. She created a calm, encouraging atmosphere the entire time. Anytime we had questions, she explained things clearly and helped us feel comfortable with the decisions we were making. Her presence took so much stress off both of us, allowing me to focus on my wife and stay grounded. Looking back, hiring Janée was one of the best decisions we made. She didn’t just support my wife—she empowered me as a husband and new father. If you’re on the fence, especially as a dad, take it from me: a good doula is worth every bit of it. She made our birth experience something we’ll be grateful for forever.
